Congrats! How was the interview? Did they ask for all the documents listed on the notice? Mine is coming up in about a week and I want to be properly prepared.

It was mostly verifications and the officer had to read and ask me about the series of questions listed in form I-458. We brought all documents that we thought was needed (joint financial docs, health insurance etc plus recent pictures) for the interview but the immigration officer did not even ask us to show it to them.

Its funny because at the beginning the officer couldn't find my medical form and informed me that I might send another (which means I had to go and get another medical exam etc etc). But fortunately, he just "misplaced" another folder and finally found my medical!!! I actually couldn't believe how did he missed it. He actually blamed the Nebraska Office because he said that my papers went through there and probably that's usually where the confusion comes from LOL. anyway, after a few words of apologies from him. He gave me a pc. of paper that indicates that I'm recommended for approval and told us that I would have to remove conditions after 2 years etc. After about 2 hours, I received an email from USCIS notification telling me that my green card is being produced. what a relief. :)

All in all, it was a positive and nice interview, we had a good chat about things in general. I think you'll be alright as long as you submitted all the proper forms and documents. And, even if they don't ask for additional documents during the interview, it is still best to bring them just in case. :) good luck!

Yes i did one Biometrics assuming it will be for both AOS and EAD. Was I supposed to do separate Biometrics for AOS and EAD?

I am assuming that the biometrics was for all fingers and not just the index ?

If it was index then it is only for EAD and not AOS.

Congrats again—besides the medical, that sounds fairly nice and stress-free. I'm just a bit worried because I don't have a copy of the I-485 we submitted, but it seems like they generally don't ask for that (I have plenty of other things such as joint financial documents, pictures, etc). Here's to not having to deal with this stuff for 2 years!

Hi everyone! I'm a new here. Who here from Texas and got RFE? I applied at the beginning of december and still nothing: Finger print fee was received. I got a note fron ISCIS that I didn't submit medical report I-693 and wrote that I have to wait a letter from them with address where to send. I prepared that form I-693, it's closed but half year still no letter from USCIS. On which address did you send RFE (who from Texas)? If all send the same address, would you write me the address? Thanks!

I am assuming that the RFE that you received should have the address to send back what they are requesting ?

I am assuming that the RFE that you received should have the address to send back what they are requesting ?

This what was in the letter:

Notice to Applicant

An initial review of evidence submitted with your Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status determined that Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, has not been submitted or has been submitted and is not sufficient for the following reason(s):
A completed and signed I-693 was not submitted.
You will be required to submit a valid, completed, and signed Form I-693 at a later date. Please follow these instructions:
- If you receive an interview notice in the mail, you must bring your updated Form I-693 to your interview appointment.
- If your case does not require an interview, you will receive a Reguest for Evidence for Form I-693 with instructions on where to send Form I-693.
DO NOT MAIL DOCUMENTS AT THIS TIME. Mailing documents before receiving one of the notices referenced above may result in a delay to your case.

I'm now a week after sending the FULL I-693 (which they shouldn't have required as K1's should have their K1 Visa medical accepted as long as there are no class A or B conditions). It was confirmed as received by USCIS, so now I'm back to the waiting game. No online case updates from USCIS, nothing even acknowledging receipt of the RFE.

Did your online status change to "RFE received" at any time?

NOA - 07/21/2022

Biometrics - Re-used

The letter I received wasn't an official RFE - at least, it doesn't look like any I've ever seen posted here. It seemed much more informal and "field office-like". There's no record of it at all online.

I'm guessing this blank space is all because this is local level processing and not 'federal' level? Though, of course, one might hope for a full account!

Had the interview yesterday and was approved on the spot! The officer was very nice and it only took maybe 15 minutes. Best of luck to everyone else still waiting!

Congratulations on the recent approvals! There were a chunk and seems a few more waiting on the edge to get that text and message change. I hope there aren't too many still waiting to hear, but given how slow this process is for the majority of our group, I hope you celebrate your approvals! June wasn't as active as I was hoping it would be, but we have had a good number approved.

Does anyone have any updates on any service requests submitted?
