December 2015 AOS filer status

Got two letters from the Santa Clara office today (identical, lol) confirming our AOS interview has been rescheduled for June 2. This time, hubby can make it - or, rather, he =will= make it even if I have to drag him there by the hair. ^)^

That is really useful information, thank you. Do you have a link to a government website source in case any of us need to refer USCIS to it?

I got it on the USCIS page for K visa AOS'ers. "Getting green card through family". But what I posted was just my opinion and interpretation. I haven't seen anyone that has or has not had this specific issue. Since I really don't know what USCIS does in practice, I would recommend further research on the matter.

hello guys, i think it is a bad news , i filed my aos based on k1 december, i had my ead since mars. today i had a notification that my interview was cancelled, i didn't have any interview date before. i am very sad now , i don't know what does that mean exacly.

No need to sweat it; most likely your petition was approved without interview or they will reschedule your interview or you'll get an rfe for more information. denial is unlikely without these previous steps.

Has anyone here put a service request 60 days after USCIS received RFE response? Did anything meaningful happen as a result? In my case, it will be 60 days soon, and I wonder if I should put an inquiry on my I-485, on which I had the RFE. I am currently out of state. So no Infopass for me!

There seems to be a lot of posts on here asking opinions about submitting service requests for the Form I-485. If anyone does so, I hope they post their experience on here.

I would suggest against it submitting any service requests for our team. The reason why is because if your case was NOA'ed on December 31st, then we have only been waiting for 4 months and 24 days. If your case was NOA'ed on December 1st, then it's 5 months and 23 days. I suppose that they try to work the cases within a 4-6 month processing time, but the "official" data says that Dallas is out 11 months as of the end of March 2016. Somewhere like Houston is out about 8 months as of March 2016.

I am seeing that many people on the October and November thread are still having problems with their cases. The October thread seems to be more quiet, but there are still some waiting there. The November thread is getting some conversations about putting in service requests. Some of these are saying they didn't get an appropriate response from USCIS and had to ask for congressional assistance. These ones said that the congressional rep was able to get more information about their case, such as when the case was transferred to the local office.

So I say all that to say that our team will start to hit the six month mark next month. If anyone submits a service request, please let us know about it. It may still be too early to do so, though.

AOS interview schedule for June 27, 2016. Which is great....buuuuut we're moving to California in June. Guess we'll be flying to Atlanta for the interview. Yay.

Hey guys!! I got my green card! My approval came in the mail a few days ago, and yesterday I got my actual green card in hand Even with the RFIE, still got my green card just under 6 months. It doesn't feel really "almost" over until the green card is in hand. All the stress from K1 up till now feels over hahaha

Good luck to anyone else waiting on approvals! I hope my approval brings some hope to the ones still waiting~

We got a letter in the mail Thursday very unexpectedly! ​But my husband's green card was approved too!! And in hand as of yesterday. So happy!

We did travel on AP to India due to a family emergency. My spouse took the EAD card, copies of marriage certificate, approval notice for the EAD/AP with her. At immigration, she was taken into secondary processing area and we expected a long wait! All they did at the secondary processing was to look at her documents and stamped parolee in her passport and she was out in 15 min...LOL
