similar to bankduchess, I filed mine last monday too :) Hope everything goes well for everyone.

The feeling is all over again when I did my K1

Did any of you pay attention to the EAD card, is it valid from the date they say it has been processing?

Also after it says it is processing do you get another update or you just find it in the mail?

I m so await for it, need to start working soon, and can`t move forward with the hiring process without the validity date of the card.

Hello Team December!

I am so happy to have seen about three or four approvals on here! Congrats to you!

We are still in our tangled pickle. Because of the name problem, my husband can't get FAFSA. We decided to try to use the name on the GC until his new GC gets issued. (Gonna turn my Afghan man Polish!! Lol!) Well, I figured, what's the worse that could happen? My last name is on the marriage certificate, his first name is officially changed on the court order - this should work in the short-term, right?

Hold on there, folks. Don't think you are going to come into this country with one name and leave with only seven. Nope! SSA ran his status through SAVE, and she said his records shows his last name as "ULLAH". Double Oy Vey! So from what we have now, USCIS seems to have issued his GC in one name, and saved his name differently. How does this happen? Isn't your name the very first thing?

Thankfully we were able to schedule an InfoPass for this Thursday to try to get all this sorted out. Now we have the money to pay for a brand new GC in his official name, but let me tell you what, getting the first Form I-90 rescinded is another act of Congress (and will probably take another 30-45 days...)

We have the following I-90 activity with some biometric action. We will see what the InfoPass reveals. Get this: the USCIS rep had told us that the phone reps CANNOT SEE YOUR NAME ON THE CASE WHEN YOU CALL! So all that "authentication" they do, all that phone call coordination that we need to do to make sure our spouse is with us, is a smoke screen. He did say that the IO in the field office can see the name, so I suppose we will find out if that's true or not....

May 11, 2016 - Received NOA (Day 45)

May 13, 2016 - Received biometrics letter dated May 14, 2016 (Day 47)

May 19, 2016 - InfoPass appointment (Day 53)

June 2, 2016 - Biometric appointment (Day 67)

Signature coming soon...

Hey Hey sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation with parents.

I checked my EAD, it seems that the valid date issued is a day before I get my SMS notification/Online status(see timeline below) update which is Feb 22 2016. And the expiry is Feb 21 2017.

You will receive in mail a notice of action for EAD approval, got mine 5 days after SMS notice, and exactly a week to get my EAD card on hand.

Hope that helps.
