Par for the course indeed, my cases were last touched on the same day as yours 12/16/15. No updates since. One hopes that RFE's are out of the way now and we are focused on approvals in this group. I'm anxious to start working and filling my days with a bit more activity!

Oh geez, you and me both. >.<

Hopefully we don't end up like some poor person in the November filers thread. I think I read, they were on day 84 when they received an RFE for initial evidence. Day 84!!

I will NOT be happy if that happens to me.

I saw that too! Wouldn't that be so dreadful? And it takes so long to get the RFE letter too! If the RFE came earlier, I was noticing that it wasn't affecting most people's card issuance if they responded timely. But at day 84? C'mon man!

Signature coming soon...

Tell me about it! As much as I've enjoyed this extended "holiday", I'm now chomping at the bit to get going over here and wallow in the financial comfort of being a two-income household!

Couldn't agree more. Everytime I look at my bank account, I can't help thinking I REALLY can't wait to get a job, especially after Christmas etc.

I think we are all just sitting around waiting to work at this point. I'm someone who couldn't stand having a 3 day weekend half the time because I got bored with being alone all day, and now I'm going on 5 months of being unemployed and it's maddening.

I hate that I have time for things (like going away to go Curling, like I was invited to) but not the finances. That'smalways the case isn't it? When you have the time, you don't have the money, and when you have the money you don't have the time.

I've tried to fill my time with learning stuff (since I work as a software engineer there's always something new to read about) but there's only so much you can do before you just want to get busy doing something practical. Like working. Or being able to drive. XD

100% - we want to head out to Florida to see my husband's grandfather but that's going to cost nearly $1000 for both of us, and we wouldn't half mind a few days up in the mountains to ski in the best snow pack California has had in the last 4 years but again, it's the money that's stopping us!

At least we have this forum to moan about it together!

I don't trust those notifications to work - so many people have reported changes without getting a text/email. >.<

I dont' trust them either, so I tend to check it way too many times in a day. I secretly wish that the EAD, AP, or GC approval would just show up in my mailbox without any update, that would be a pleasant surprise.

And then instead I'd worry about USPS losing the notice or card in the mail. x.x

Hahaha, I swear this process has made me so neurotic!

I know, right? Heh.

On balance, this feels "better" than waiting for the K-1 process to wind its way forward. That was a lot of activity and expense and worry that an arbitrary person at some point in the process would wake up on the wrong side of the bed and throw a spanner in the works. At least now I'm here with my man, and able to make new friends and lay the foundation for a new life instead of being 6000 miles apart. That good morning hugs and kiss is worth all the app reloading and mailbox checking. :luv:

I completely agree to what you wrote, mdcatelli!

My brain seems to rust a bit day-by-day-waiting-for-news-on-EAD/GC! -_-

Meanwhile, spouse is being sportive to my cooking experiments! Poor guy probably is praying hard in secret for me to get the EAD and get out of the house soon!! :P
