December 2015 AOS filer status

We didn't send anything regarding the medical exam. The guides were saying we didn't need to send the DS-3025 if we had the medical done as USCIS 'should' have records when you enter.

The key word here is "should". I can imagine that a piece of paper - an expensive piece of paper, at that - might go missing. USCIS' own advice is to send the DS-3025 along with the I-485 application if a medical was completed within one year of filing. It's under the 'Medical Examination' section on the linked page:

"Even if a new medical examination is not required, you still must show proof that you have complied with the vaccination requirements." That proof sounds like the DS-3025 to me. You might be right in that it's not always required at the time of filing and it might then come up at interview, but why take that chance.. if you have it to hand, anyway.

I was given a copy of the DS-3025 when I completed the medical in London.The doctor was quite emphatic and made sure I understood that I must keep it for adjustment later on - they even included a little flyer in my documentation saying "whatever you do, do not lose the DS-3025".

No update for us yet. We just did our second set of biometrics (one for AOS and one for EAD/AP).

Our biometrics appointment was completed today as well. We got there about 5 minutes before the appointment and it was done before 10:20 am. They had four stations and didn't give my husband any problem about the name. On the appointment letter, his name was the wrong one, but the service request letter showed his updated/correct name. So my husband asked about his name when we were there, but they couldn't tell us anything. So we called the USCIS customer line on the way back home, and we had to be transferred to a tier two person when we asked, "What's his name showing as now?" Even then, the tier two person could not tell us!

Today is our 58th day and March 9th is our 90 day mark. We therefore have 34 days, or 1 month and 5 days, to wait for our EAD/AP. That would be before spring break!

Hehe. I see USCIS' left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Give them a little time: if it takes 2 weeks just to put someone into SAVE in the first place, it might take them a while to change someone's name across the board too.

I had my biometrics appointment too today. So far it went good. It took about 1/2 our. All what we can do now is wait and hope everything is going well.

I think it's rather normal. I don't think cases hear anything until there is a "card in production" message for EAD/AP or for those lucky ones that get the GC right off the bat. I think the radio silence is good because it means no RFE!

So with themonkeys getting their biometrics done too, I don't think there is anyone else on this December thread that is still waiting for their biometrics appointment?

I sure hope that's how it works out. To get an RFE now would certainly cause me to have a sad.

I really hope we have passed the RFE stage now for the early December filers....one moment I feel confident and at other times my brain goes down the path "They probably lost my biometrics somehow (even though it's electronic!) because I did an early walk in a few days before my scheduled appointment"...then I just go back to watching Netflix lol

Waiting, waiting,waiting....but I don't find it as painful as waiting for the K1, being together now just makes it all better.

For real! We have about three to four weeks before we should get our EAD/AP, but remember, RFE's can be issued at any point in this whole process....well, except when the card is being produced! Lol!

I know what you mean. Sometimes I wonder if they have looked at all the cases for different things like: Birth certificate? Check Y/N. Affidavit of support? Check Y/N. Correct forms? Check Y/N.

Then other times I think they haven't even touched the case at all. But if that was the case, would that mean that those of us that have gotten RFE's would have gotten cards? Idk, because it seems so early for anyone to get approved in less than two months! But don't worry, bariki, each case that is older than yours that gets worked on means that you are closer and closer to approval! So even if they don't touch your case, you are still making progress!

Like, it's sitting in a pile in a box waiting for an IO to take it out and go "whoops, this form is wrong" after 74 days and throw an RFE?

One tries not to worry. It's not like I have any control over the situation any more, now that the NBC is in the driver's seat. Hehe. 26 more days to Service Request territory. In the meantime, it's the weekend and nearly 70 degrees out. We're gonna go for a walk on the beach. Hope everyone has a super weekend.

Day 59 here.... no updates since our RFE was received back to USCIS.

Hoping and praying for EAD/AP for my husband soon.
