People need to stop trashing Obama for trying to institute a regime of extreme gun control. In his most recent act, he signed into law a bill allowing over 100,000 military-grade weapons to be sold to the general public.

Congratulations. Only took 8 years to figure out and that was still faster of roughly half the population.

Obama's not coming for your guns!!! Anyone who thinks he is is paranoid and probably a bit delusional and should spend more time reflecting on the real reason someone might be coming to take their gun(s) away.

The only reason Obama wasn't aggressive about firearms is that the timing was all wrong. He was very quiet about firearms legislation in his first term, likely because he wanted to be reelected. As soon as he lost congress any thoughts he had of higher regulations were dashed.

It would be reasonable to assume if democrats had congress in his second term, we would see Australian type confiscation laws being signed.

I wouldn't say its a reasonable assumption. It was one possibility and it didn't happen. If there's a 75% probability of rain and it doesn't rain, then there's a 0% chance that it actually rained.

We've heard for 8 years of Obama is coming to take guns away any day now, and as you just explained, that hasn't been a day in the last 8 years where that could have happened. Whether he would like to or not is a different story.

Logic and cogent thought will get you nowhere.

My assumption is within the context that Congress was in the democrats hand's during Obama's 2nd term presidency. I think you missed that and instead applied it to the present.
