First step of I-129F

Hi everyone

I'm really new to this and have been reading a lot of posts on this forum, which are great, and have been reading a lot of government pages, which are definitely not as helpful.

My first step I need to do is to send something to Dallas (USCIS) but what do I send?

Is it only the I-129F form and check?

Or do I send the whole I-129F package? (proof of meeting/relationship, G-325A form, birth certificate, letter of intent to marry)

Im assuming dallas is your local office. On the form I-129F there should be an address that you send it to, and yes you send the whole package as specified on the form.

I know when I downloaded the form I-130 there was another document I could download that was basically a long checklist of everything I needed to include!

First you should read this guide which will describe the process and let you know everything you need to put in your packet. http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Secondly, the USCIS website tells you exactly where to send your package to: so you'd send your packet to the address as listed here. http://www.uscis.gov/i-129f

The address is going to be for the Texas Lockbox. It's the same address everyone sends their packets to regardless of the state you live in. Once sent, the lockbox will sort through it and pass it on to a service center that handles such cases. That is at a different location - either Texas Service Center or California Service Center.

Since earlier this year though, all newly filed applications are being handled by California at this time.

You have a tough embassy and should front load your I-129 packet. Enter front load in the VJ search bar to read threads on this before

• 2 Letters certifying intent to marry (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
• 2 G-325A and passport style photos (Petitioner and Beneficiary)
• Naturalization Certificate (Petitioner)
• Proof of having met in person in the past two years (pictures)
• Proof of ongoing relationship (chat history, Skype screenshots etc.)
• G-1145 – eNotification
• Copy of passport used to travel abroad (shows border stamps)
• Copies of plane tickets
• Copy of hotel booking confirmation
• Phone calls and text messages data

Basically this is what you need (maybe some additional docs if you've been married)
