To the Brits - do you think everything here in the US is too sweet?

Also, my fiance drinks hot tea when it's a hundred degrees outside. Wouldn't this be bad for you? I drink cool water and lots of it.

I was always told that a hot drink cools you quicker on a hot day. Something about the body not having to work harder at getting the cold drink up to your body temperature.

My fiance is always complaining about how sweet things are. He won't eat our baked beans anymore because they are way too sweet for him. He was shocked that we put syrup on our pancakes, but tried it anyway. He actually liked that. But not the beans, nooooo....

Which i do kinda find funny, as he has a HUGE sweet tooth. I know others from the UK have said they find the bread here too sweet, but he's never complained.

Heinz vegetarian beans were nearly right, but we gave up and went to Wegmans on monday and got the imported beans (and a jar of pickle), my hubby had beans and sausage (from the Amish store, which he found he prefers to the processed ####### from the grocery store) for breakfast yesterday and was well chuffed lol

So much for my hubby and his stoic "I'll never miss any food from Scotland but irn bru bleh bleh" bs

I am definitely going to be grabbing the nearest person I know with a Makro card and make them take me bulk buy shopping nothing is better than a 2KG tub of Marmite and of course a box of Crunchie's to earn me 3 million brownie points with the soon to be Mrs Dan

Haha - LOTS of brownie point indeed! Thank goodness there is a shop just up the road that sells both of these! The British Emporium in Grapevine is fantastic. We went by there a few days ago - lots of yummy stuff.

But do they have Mr Kipling's lemon slices? If they do...I may have to go on up to Grapevine. I like those things.
