Hi All,

First, let me say thanks for everyone on here...VJ has been a great resource for us while we're putting together our petition, and has a lot of great information here. I've been devouring the info over the last couple weeks as we put together our packet. I just wanted to have someone else double-check what I will be sending to the Dallas lockbox on Friday, and had a couple questions to ask.

First; here is what I'm sending in the packet:

1. Personal check for petition fee

2. G-1145 for e-notifications

3. Cover letter

4. I-129F

5. I-129F suppliment/how we met

6. G-325A and passport photo of me (petitioner)

7. G-325A and passport photo of my fiancee.

8. My birth certificate

9. Fiance letter of intent

10. Fiancee letter of intent

11. Full copy of my divorce decree (all 40 pages of it o.O)

12. Proof of having met:

--Photo of my fiance's boarding passes when she came to DFW from LAX on a tourist visa (a couple months ago, 2 weekend visits)

--Copy of my fiance's US tourist visa and entry stamp @ LAX

--Copy of my itinerary from DFW to Shanghai (tickets were electronic, so no boarding passes)

--Copy of my China tourist visa and entry/exit stamps @ PVG

--Copy of the single photo we took together in Shanghai

Now, my questions:

1. My fiance scanned and sent me signed and dated copies of her G-325A and letter of intent. I will be printing them to put in the packet. This should be okay, right? (I know, FAQ, should be fine, I like to be thorough :) )

2. Neither of us like taking selfies, and we weren't thinking of marriage until recently. Hence, we only have one photo with both of us in it, from my trip to Shanghai. She is planning to make another trip here in early Feb, and we plan to get more photos together then. I may also take another trip to SH before then if I can get the time off work and an affordable ticket. Will this cause any problems with the initial process? We will have more proof when she goes for the interview.

3. Since she signed and scanned her paperwork before I had everything together, the dates on our forms won't match. Hers are dated Nov 28th, and mine will be dated today (Dec 2nd). Will this cause any problems? Should I back date my papers to match the date she signed them?

4. Here is what I have for the supplemental of how we met. What do you all think, too much detail? Not enough detail? Should I include anything of why I think the dating site we met on doesn't fall under IMBRA?

----

Wenjing and I met online around the middle of June 2015 on the dating website chinalovematch.net. Wenjing came to the US as a tourist on September 23, 2015 and arrived in Los Angeles. She then came to Dallas on September 25, 2015 to September 28, 2015 to meet me. We met again on October 2, 2015, and I took her to the airport on October 4, 2015 to return to China. She stayed with me in my home on both occasions. On November 12, 2015, I went to Shanghai to meet Wenjing. She met me at the Shanghai Pudong airport on November 13, 2015. We stayed together in her home and toured Shanghai until my flight back to the US on November 16, 2015. I asked Wenjing to marry me while we were in Shanghai, on November 15, 2015, and she said yes. We have been preparing the documents for this petition since.

Thanks in advance for the answers! VJ has already been a fantastic resource, and I appreciate any help that is offered.

Cheers,

Cypher

Yes

You're fine, take more and bring them to the interview. Read up on that Embassy about issues others may have had and how they mitigated those.

3. Since she signed and scanned her paperwork before I had everything together, the dates on our forms won't match. Hers are dated Nov 28th, and mine will be dated today (Dec 2nd). Will this cause any problems? Should I back date my papers to match the date she signed them?

That's to be expected.

More than enough.

Did you list that site as an IMB on the 129 form? You should if you paid any money even to gain access to her contact information.

(I know, FAQ, should be fine, I like to be thorough :) )Most folks successfully send in original "wet signature" G325A and letter of intent for petitioner and beneficiary, see below.*

2. Neither of us like taking selfies, and we weren't thinking of marriage until recently. Hence, we only have one photo with both of us in it, from my trip to Shanghai. She is planning to make another trip here in early Feb, and we plan to get more photos together then. Will this cause any problems? Should I back date my papers to match the date she signed them? Likely of little consequence

4. Here is what I have for the supplemental of how we met. What do you all think, too much detail? Keep it simple. Not enough detail? Should I include anything of why I think the dating site we met on doesn't fall under IMBRA? Add that in a supplemental letter. *See below.

Welcome to the forum.

* :guides: easily accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K1 Visa Guide: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide . Since the China is considered a high-fraud country, and the Guangzhou consulate is notoriously tough, most folks "front-load" their I-129F petition with as much "Documentary Proof of the Relationship" as possible. The K1 Guide lists what is considered documentary evidence. You would do well to provide that type of proof as possible, that should be your main area of emphasis. (That is what we successfully did.) Frankly, the bureaucrats are only interesting in evidence, rather than your love story. Since there has been an uptick in IMBA sensitivity by USCIS, check out the IMBRA forum for suggestions and information on how to address that issue.

Others will likely follow with other advice and suggestions. Review other recent forum threads, very similar responses to your FAQs.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Thanks guys!

More than enough.

Did you list that site as an IMB on the 129 form? You should if you paid any money even to gain access to her contact information.

I checked "No" on the 129, since I believe I had enough evidence to show that they are not an IMB (their terms of service, site is not specifically for US citizens to meet foreigners, same cost is charged regardless of country or gender, membership fees are not used to access contact info, etc). Do you think this does present a high risk to the petition? If I checked "Yes," then I wouldn't be able to provide a consent form, since one does not exist...

We do have tons of chat logs I could print out to send; do you know if there is an easy way to print out from Wechat/微信 or QQ? That is the main way we've been in contact with each other...video calls on QQ, and chats on Wechat daily. We don't have many emails, either from the site we met on or personal, to use, and no physical letters. Any other suggestions for front-loading the petition?

You need to provide the types of relationship evidence as exampled in the K1 Visa Guide.

Hmm..then I suppose we have gathered all the evidence that we have at this point. I'll put in a supplemental letter for the IMBRA concerns, and then we'll just have to deal with any RFEs if they come up. Thanks for the check! :)
