Hello everyone! It's been a while since the last time I posted here.

I am here again to ask for your precious opinions. tips or any advice that will help with my visa application.

I have known my boyfriend for 3 years ONLINE. We've been officially dating for only 11 months. He came here to visit me for the first time last Oct 2015. It was one of the most exciting moment for me. It was a bit of a hassle for him because he need to ask for vacation from work for 2 and a half weeks and that is a lot to ask. Our plan now is to apply for a B2 multiple visa so we can alternately visit each other. I have a very flexible schedule but he would have to ask for vacations from work that he just recently got. So I think our best bet is to get a multiple Entry but I know this is going to be difficult for a Philippines passport holder like me. Here are my ties here and the papers I will bring to my interview. I would really appreciate your thoughts , opinions , tips and advice to make my documents and application stronger.

1. Leave letter - I am working as an online teacher for 2 companies for 4 years. - I will provide the immigration with a letter of a request leave from the company with their signature.

2. Another leave letter - I also just got hired to teach permanently at this Japanese company and will also request a leave. (so I will have two letter's of leave request with the companies approval)

3. Business permit - I also work as a Freelance teacher and currently working on registering my company. Once registered I will provide them with evidence that I have a small company to come back to. Although it may look recent to them, I will still include this as a supporting document.

4. House 1 year contract - I have one year contract of the apartment I am living in right now. With the owners signature. I will include my past 6 months receipts and the renewal contracts and receipts. I pay with check, it covers the whole year.

5. Round trip ticket - Me and my boyfriend will buy a round trip ticket. We know that you suppose to buy the ticket after you get the visa but we want to show them that I have plan to go back the Philippines since I already have flight back.

6. Bank statement - With all the works I do in teaching. I am afraid that my salary wouldn't do justice in supporting myself during my stay in the US. But my boyfriend is my sponsor. I am still thinking of printing out all my salary and bank statement. Unfortunately, the good money is via freelancing, the problem is that I don't have proof that I am getting good money from freelancing since I don't give out receipts and I don't pay tax for them. That is why I am working on registering my own business.

7. Itinerary - of what we will do while in the US. Places we will visit and people we will meet.

8. Invitation letter from my boyfriend. I was thinking of asking my friends too, to write me an invitation letter. They are the people that me and my boyfriend will visit. (would that be too much?)

If you are asking why not K1- fiance visa, well.. We don't want to rush things. Both him and I are doing our own thing for now. I would really like to make something out of myself and he also feels the same. We don't want to do a K1 visa because then we need to get married after 90 days and that is a lot of pressure. We want to take things slow. We are happy with our relationship right now but we want to see each other more without actually the pressure of getting married.

Please help us. Thank you so much in advance.

I wouldn't buy the ticket until you have a visa, there are warnings about this. A round trip ticket does not prove you will return, it simply means you bought a round trip ticket. Tourist visas don't have a sponsor, you have to prove your financial status on your own merit, a letter from your boyfriend does not prove your financial status, it provides details on his.

Here are my ties here and the papers I will bring to my interview. I would really appreciate your thoughts , opinions , tips and advice to make my documents and application stronger. - B2 Visa with Multiple entries cannot be applied, you can only state that you are applying for a B2 Visa. Multiple entries and validity are decided by a CO and no one can predict this.

1. Leave letter - I am working as an online teacher for 2 companies for 4 years. - I will provide the immigration with a letter of a request leave from the company with their signature. - not needed, a Certificate of Employment, stating tenure and salary is much better as proof of employment/ ties. I was asked how much I earn monthly. This should be supported by proper documents.

2. Another leave letter - I also just got hired to teach permanently at this Japanese company and will also request a leave. (so I will have two letter's of leave request with the companies approval) - not needed, a Certificate of Employment, stating tenure and salary is much better as proof of employment/ ties.

3. Business permit - I also work as a Freelance teacher and currently working on registering my company. Once registered I will provide them with evidence that I have a small company to come back to. Although it may look recent to them, I will still include this as a supporting document. - OK, although you are starting up, this shows you are thinking long term in doing business in the country.

4. House 1 year contract - I have one year contract of the apartment I am living in right now. With the owners signature. I will include my past 6 months receipts and the renewal contracts and receipts. I pay with check, it covers the whole year. - OK but one year contract is not a long term contract. You can stay in the US for a max of 6 months (this can be given at POE), so one year or half way through it has no bearing in my opinion. If you renewed a lease for another year (2016), that would be better. Proof of other properties such as car or investments.

5. Round trip ticket - Me and my boyfriend will buy a round trip ticket. We know that you suppose to buy the ticket after you get the visa but we want to show them that I have plan to go back the Philippines since I already have flight back. - Do not purchase any ticket, this will not do anything in your application. It is very clear that You do not make any firm travel plans without a Visa. This was even advised to Immigrant Visa applicants. Anyone can purchase a ticket. And if you get denied? A round trip ticket can be useful at POE.

- Bank statements for the past 6 months, Bank Certificate with OR, Credit Card statements, payslips, ITR.

You said you earn good money in freelancing - if you have previous contracts executed that can be a proof of income.

7. Itinerary - of what we will do while in the US. Places we will visit and people we will meet. - NOT needed

8. Invitation letter from my boyfriend. I was thinking of asking my friends too, to write me an invitation letter. They are the people that me and my boyfriend will visit. (would that be too much?) - NOT needed. They are not interested who are you seeing or where are you going. They wanted to know what are your ties in the country that will make you come back.

Let us know how it goes.

I definitely will. I got rejected with Tourist visa 5 years ago. But I have been granted two K1, but never went to any of those interviews. My relationship got complicated with my ex- fiance and decided that I don't want to continue anymore with the petition. Will this affect my B2 application? If I may add, I have traveled to UK twice, I've been to Canada, Hong kong, Singapore and Malaysia. I have clean background from all of those countries.

Hello Again,

I forgot to include this on my post for B2 visa. I really want to know the effect of my previous application results to my new application.

Almost 6 years ago I have been declined with a Tourist visa.
After a year me and my ex-fiance decided to work on my K1. We were successful in getting that but I did't go to the interview because I feel like the relationship isn't really working for me anymore. What I mean is that, I don't feel like I am sure about getting married with my ex-fiance. So we broke up, I didn't go to the interview, the petition got cancelled on its own.

I guess, about 2 years later, I applied for another K1. During the process of the papers, I found out that my boyfriend was cheating on me. We broke up before we found out that the petition was approved and I need to schedule an interview. The relationship is not fixable anymore, that's how bad it was so I didn't go through the next step.

Well, here I am again. I am officially in a relationship for 11 months with my boyfriend from the US, again!
But this time we want to take things slow. I also want to continue the small business I have here in the Philippines and going to work on my permits soon. He visited last month but we want to see each other more. He can't take lots of vacation so we decided to work on my visa so we can alternately visit each other. That way it wouldn't be too hard on him.

Will all of my previous request and results affect my B2 application?

I know its kinda messed up but things really do happened and I didn't really thought of being with another American.
If things doesn't work out with the B2, we don't really have a choice but to do the K1.
I don't think we are ready to get married yet. We wanna enjoy what we have right now without pressure.

So I guess I have two questions here:

1. Will my precious application and results affect my B2 application?
2, If I apply for B2 now and get rejected, will that affect my maybe K1 application?

B2 visa is processed differently because it's for visiting and coming back home type of thing. And you need to qualify based on your own merits.

K1 visa's purpose is to reunite people who will eventually get married in the US.

Question 1. NO

Question 2:

the right question should be would the previous TWO K1 visas affect your future petition?

Now that may be a yes as you will probably face extra scrutiny on the interview level as you passed NVC pretty easily on the two previous ones.

Hope this helps.

1: You can pretty much guarantee that those previous applications will be questioned during your interview. It may appear to the CO that you're just shopping around for any USC who can get you a greencard. It's up to you to explain that this isn't the case.

2: As long as a B-2 denial is only because you couldn't show lack of immigrant intent then it should have no effect on your K-1 at all.

August 2000: We start e-mailing. I'm in Bosnia, she's in Florida

October 29th 2000: She sends me e-mail asking if I would marry her

October 29th 2000(5 seconds later): I say yes

November 2000: She sends me tickets to Orlando for when I get back

December 6th 2000: Return from Bos

December 11th 2000: Fly to Orlando, she meets me at airport

December 22nd 2000: I fly back to UK

January 3rd 2001: She flies to UK (Good times)

Mid February 2001: Pregnancy test Positive

Mid February 2001: She flies back to US

March 2001: Miscarriage, I fly to US on first flight I can get

May 2001: I leave US before my 90 days are up

June 2001: I fly back to US, stopped at airport for questioning as I had only just left

September 2001: Pregnancy test Positive again

September 2001: She falls sick, I make decision to stay to look after her as I am afraid I may have problems getting back in.

April 16th 2002: Our son is born, we start getting stuff together for his passport

March 6th 2003: We leave US for UK as family

April 16th 2003: London Embassy informs me that I will be banned from the Visa Waiver Program for 10 years, my little boys first birthday

June 13th 2006: I-129f sent

that certainly complicates matters

The CO will ask previous travels for the last 5 years. This will help. Bring all your passport that shows the Visa from UK and Canada.

As for the previous K1, it will show in the system and they may ask you about it but will not affect B2 application although they are both Non-IV.

K1 although non-IV are processed as IV due to the immigration intent after the K1 marries.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
