At the time of filing for AOS from a K-1 visa, both my husband and I had just moved back to the US from his home country. My mom acted as our joint sponsor through the whole process. She had filed an extension on her taxes and we received an RFE for her 2013 tax return. We ordered a tax transcript and she decided that would be sharing too much information with the federal government and will not let us use that to respond to the RFE. In the meantime, I've gotten a job in which I make more than twice the 125% poverty level required to be a sponsor. Can we respond to the RFE with my updated I-864 along with all my pay stubs and a letter from my employer indicating that I have a full time, permanent job and my salary, etc.? What happens if we respond to the RFE with information that they didn't request (my updated info instead of my mom's)? Thanks in advance!

Ha, I know... I'm at a loss for words. She thinks the government already knows too much about her and her finances. Anyways, can I submit an updated I-864 with paystubs from my new job and a letter from my employer? I'd include a letter explaining why I'm responding with my info and not hers. Would that be accepted?
