Congratulations.

It looks like those who are approved at the interview have an oath ceremony about 3-4 weeks later. I don't know identity got their letters at the interview or in the mail.

For everyone who's done here, remember to update your VJ timelines (at least the N400 section).

Adding your information to the citizenship timelines puts it into a database that is much easier for users to search.

For example, Newark filers can go here to look through recent Newark timelines:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?op6=All&op7=Newark+NJ&op1=&op2=&op4=1&op5=5%2C10%2C11&cfl=0

This very quick search shows that of the last 9 applicants who updated their oath statuses, 8 in Newark had a same day oath, but one had to wait 2 months after the interview. That's pretty useful information for your Newark applicants to have.

To update your timeline, go to your profile by clicking on your name.

Scroll down to Immigration Info and click on Timeline and follow the prompts to set it up. You can enter as much or as little of your immigration history as you want. For example, you can just fill in your basic info and then scroll down to the N400 section.

Please take the time to do this; it will be so much easier for future users to search this database than to look through the monthly tracking tables one by one.

Just came out from my interview. Went with my lawyer so everything took like 20 mins. First, he asked me civics questions (answered all 6) and then went straight to my application.

I have a Reckless Driving on my record so he asked the court deposition. Since I have a record, he said that he is recommending me for the citizenship but have to consult the supervisor. They will send me a letter.

What's the timeline I am looking here? How many days/weeks will I expect this letter and what do you think about?

It could be tomorrow or it could take a few weeks.

Sounds like you're on your way to approval. :-)

Even in clear cut cases, and supervisor reviews the file.

They officially have 120 days to make a decision following an interview (although they sometimes go beyond this).

I don't know the details of your case, but hopefully as in most such cases you'll see another update within a week or two. If you are approved you'll see an online update saying that you are inline for oath scheduling.

Keep us updated.

I do not want to give you false hope, but I would think you will have a decision by the end of the week.

Yay! Your interview is exactly one week after mine, Spmaria... but hopefully you'll be approved and get a same day ceremony and you'll end up beating me to the finish line by about a week... if all goes well for us both!

Looks like everyone is getting scheduled almost exactly 5 weeks (same day of the week) from the interview update. It's true for most of us recently and in other groups too. But it makes sense that the interview will be a day or two late for some people if the interview slots for that day are already full.

Such a matter-of-fact update, Spmaria... I was expecting fireworks and dancing in the streets...
