My interview was at 10:45 today, I got there 2 hours earlier lol, went into the office at 9:45 and was given a red sheet to wait till about 30 minutes before my interview, at 10:15 I was checked in. I was called by my IO at 11. He started with the civic test : 1. name one branch of government? 2.how many supreme court justices do we have? 3. what did the declaration of independence do? 4.we elect US senators for how many years? 5. what does the president cabinet do? 6. if both the president and vice president can no longer serves who becomes president?. Then he asked me to read When is Columbus Day? and I wrote Columbus day is in October. then we went over my application and he got to the part about citiation I told him I got one after I filled out my application and I gave him the payment of the citiation and he added it to my document and said "YOU HAVE PASSED!!!!!!!!". I asked about the oath and he said there was a ceremony at 1:30pm and if I wanted to join and I said yes.

So I am done with USCIS . I am an American citizen . yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you guys . I wish everyone all the best.

How was it?

zzmr_qzz must have been at the same ceremony, unless Philly has more than one a day.

It was actually very straightforward. Arrived there around 10:45 and the ceremony started around 11:15. They played a couple of videos and had each person come up to verify the information on their certificates. Took the oath, said the pledge of allegiance and then each person was called up front to get their certificate. It lasted about 45 mins to 1 hour.

There were two ceremonies. One at 9am and the other at 11am so zzmr_qzz might have been at the one earlier in the morning.

Hello everyone, I had my interview at the Charlotte, NC location today. I was scheduled for 8:25am. When I arrived I went through check in with my appointment letter and green card, then I was ask to remove my belt, watch, shoes etc.. I then went to the check in window and was given a number. I waited about 30 minutes before being called back. The officer started a conversation with me and then went directly to the questions. I was ask six questions: who was the first President of the Us? - Who is the Governor of NC? - Name one of NC's Senators? - Name two National US Holidays? - Name one right only for US Citizens? - What movement tried to end racial discrimination? Then I was ask to read: In what month is President's Day in? I had to write the answer: February. Then we went over the yes and no questions on the N400. I passed all and I was ask if I could come tomorrow for the Oath Ceremony? I said yes So tomorrow it's back to Charlotte. I'm so happy this long journey from the K1 visa to Citizenship is almost over. Thanks to everyone here at VJ for all your help through the years

Well, let's hope we all hear from them before that...

Hey... probably not... most cases that go into prolonged background check take 6 to 8 months and some take a year, although that's less common.

If your case was held up during the check but is now completed, USCIS sometimes fails to move your case forward... if this is what's happened, then calling will help. If it's still being checked, then calling won't do anything because we are still all well under the national processing times.

I might check just to confirm that my biometrics were sent to them... since we never heard anything after fingerprinting... but I'm not expecting to be placed inline before June at the earliest and I think that July or August are more likely... if there aren't complications.

If I do call to check on my bio info, it'll be at the end of the month... so it'll be 3 months after bio and 4 months after applying. I'll be sure to let you know if I do.

Calling won't hurt if you don't mind waiting on the phone.

The Naturalization Officer Told me that the interview is being supervised by another person who was sitting in the room. The interview was long and thorough and I think it's due to the fact that she was supervised. After we went through the form and civic questions she congratulated me and said that I was approved. She told me that there's an oath ceremony at 1pm and if that's convenient for me, I said absolutely!
