Just finish with my interview today in the Irving, Texas site.. " Congratulations! Your application is recommended for approval". IO told me to wait for the Oath Taking Letter in three weeks time.

Interview is short. The whole process just took me 20 minutes. Civic test is easy if you are prepared for it. What caught me off guard after i was sworn in she immediately ask me " why do you mean by the Oath of allegiance".

i think i said " You swear to be loyal and obey the laws of the united states." She said good answer. :-)

YAY congrats Ms.Hogan. I was thinking about you all day yesterday. Work is insane for me right now and my boss was not going to approve my requested vacation day for my oath ceremony. I flipped out.. He asked me if I could postpone this ceremony to a later date. I said no. I am working on a project deadline but will be looking for a new job immediately after this project is completed.

You and I have our oath ceremonies within a day of each other. Since I have to be back in Canada the day after for work, I am going to go to the DMV immediately after my oath ceremony to get an enhanced license for the time being and will also head to NEXUS to update my info. I will have to apply for a passport at a later date.

I can't believe your boss had the nerve!

I think I'm going to just do regular expedite rather than try for same day passport. I'm getting conflicting instructions and I'm worried about it in general now for the kids.

Ms Hogan, I had my parents, in-laws, and wife with me for the oath ceremony. I think there were maybe three times as many guests as applicants, so I'm pretty sure you can have as many guests as you want. Everyone comes in the same way to the oath ceremony; Cleveland doesn't split them up. Best bet might be to do what I did and park in the lower lot, and hop on the casino shuttle. They'll drop you near an entrance to Tower City with a long indoor hallway that leads to the courthouse.

Congratulations!
