New citizen here . Ceremony was last Thursday at the Irving Texas Field Office. Schedule was supposed to be @ 8:30, but they started the check in process around 8:45 which took about 45 minutes. Th

I just mailed my N400 Application To Phoenix, AZ Someone please add me to the list. GC 03/01/13. Sent 12/12/15. Pittsburg, CA

I didn't even know that Guamanians were required to naturalize to obtain US citizenship! I had assumed that as a US national, you could just move to the US to become a citizen... too bad you have to go through this process with the rest of us. Good luck with your application!

I really wonder why my check hasn't been cashed. It seems it should have been based on what I have seen so far...even with other months :(

A lot of people pay extra for overnight or 48 hour courier service... if you used regular mail, your application may have taken a lot longer to get to USCIS. I wouldn't worry if I were you... if there's a problem and they return your packet, you just correct the issue and refile... you'll have only lost two weeks. But I think it's too soon to worry; hopefully it'll be cashed in the next day or two.

True...I mailed my package on December 8th, it arrived at the P.O.Box on Friday December 11th but was picked up early Monday morning. Hopefully it happens within the next couple of days!

I got a citation from NYC back in 2005 for urination in public. I didnt contest it but was made to pay a fine of $50. I am trying to get the record from NY supreme court but they are unable to locate any record regarding the citation. How can i get this record? Is this gonna be an issue during the N-400 interview? I said yes to the citation question on the N-400 form. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

If you can't get a copy of the disposition, see if they'll give you a letter stating that you have no citations on record.

Will it be an issue? Not if you have something to show the issue was settled. If you don't have any evidence, there's a chance (just a chance) that there'll be a delay until USCIS confirms that there isn't an outstanding issue.

If you're worried about this affecting the final decision; it won't.

For members who like details:

I mailed my application to the Lewisville, TX lockbox today (sent to the street address, not the P. O. Box). I included the N-400 form, the G-1145 form, two passport photos with my name and A-number written on the back, a copy of the front and back of my greencard, and a personal check for $680. I used FedEx; for $7.50, they guaranteed next-day delivery, although I'm sure it was only that cheap because it's only a 3 hour drive.
