As I am away in Canada this week for work, I bossily told my husband that he better watch our mailbox like a hawk for that oath letter as I know what time the mailman delivers our mail each day. I also told him that I will be harassing him every day as much as I harassed USCIS for my oath date. He wasn't so down with that..the bossy part I mean

Sure sounds like a bonafide relationship to me.

I've tried to call, tried to sound convinced, woman on the phone said "of course, connecting you to the IO"... And then auto machine saved my number and notified me I was placed in line for a call back. It said the waiting time was about 27 minutes. It's been an hour and no one called back. And, I guess, never will. Should I keep calling or wait? I've never heard anything about those options with calling back, i prefer to stay on the line and wait. How should I do that?

Hey good job!

Actually, most people who leave their numbers get called back, but it's usually much later than whatever time they quote...

I've never tried calling, but that's what I read. Hopefully they'll call you back today or tomorrow morning.

Let us know if they do. I'm interested because you and I and two others are in the same boat.

Very nice guy called me back. But every guy who calls back is nice. Lol XD Sorry for stupid jokes - I'm very nervous. He placed me on hold for more than 5 minutes to verify my information but after that he didn't tell me anything useful, only that my case is waiting to be transferred to my local office to be scheduled for an interview any day now. I asked for specifics, if my background check was cleared or was I already placed in line and just didn't get an uptade or something else. But he said he didn't know anything else. As far as I know they tell it to everyone. So nothing changed. I really wanted him to tell me that I am in line or interview was scheduled, that I'm the one (lol) who doesn't have those online updates work properly. But looks like I'm the unlucky one who never gets what she wants (((

Tomorrow is the day to apply for Obamacare because I missed December deadline. I'll only have like 6 weeks to do so and I need to become a citizen for that because that's the only thing that applies to me right now. But looks like it won't happen in 6 weeks or anytime soon. That's very depressing, I'm already thinking about going back to my country to check my health. And that's also impossible right now with two little kids. I'm feeling down (((

Actually, this happened to me today too. You get prompted to leave your phone number and then USCIS will call back. Today, the automated response was 17 minutes for a call back time but it was more like 45 minutes.

Good for you for asking Spmaria and for being persistent. It pays off to do that! Hang in there. At least you know that your case it waiting to be transferred for an interview.. If you really want to push it, make an infopass appointment and go in. I did this when I was waiting for my ROC to be approved. Lo and behold when I did that, I was informed on the spot that my ROC had been approved and a few days later I received that wonderful approval letter.

I will keep you in my bossy thoughts this week and hope that you get some good news!!

It's good to keep checking on our cases, but let's remember that if our background checks are not ready or if our files are still in Missouri and haven't been transferred to the field office, contacting USCIS isn't going to do anything at this point.

It's easy to get caught up with the progress of others, but everyone needs to remember that if we take our oaths in May, we'll still be under the 6 month national average. In fact, in my case, if I'm placed inline in June, interviewed in July, and become a citizen in August, I'll still be within Houston's 8-10 month normal range over the past year.

No one who filed in December or even November is outside the normal processing times of their field office yet. I'm very happy for our fellow December 2015ers who have become citizens, but they have either filed at exceptionally fast offices or have been much luckier than most VJ members. I just want everyone to keep that in mind and not get depressed. Good luck!

Who of you guys applied based on 3 years rule?

Any tips for interview?

do I have to bring all pprwork from day 1 of marriage again at interview, as letter states bring marriage cert, taxes and one more thing not sure what at the moment.

I printed out 2/3 of our statements and its like 400 pages. and they have all of them already.... just thinking....

Hey guys,

I am looking for a little comfort and reassurance at this point. I see I am starting to really fall behind the vast majority of applications here and am really starting to get a little nervous.

I submitted back in early December, and had biometrics in early January. Now I have heard nothing. No email, no text, nothing updated on the case status website or my online account. Still just "My case was received." The last action on my account was a change of address successfully completed on the 1st of February.

During my removal of conditions application I was ended up being very last out of the group, and had to submit an inquiry after 3 months of no movement. Its very annoying that it looks like the same is occurring again :(

A question I have is, do I have to wait the 90 days to submit an inquiry from the date of my fingerprints, the date of my change of address status update, or the date of my case was received status?

As always, thank you all.

I did. I'm planning on taking a few bank statements, some of the credit cards statement we have together, deed of the house we bought in Texas and the rental contract we have here in NC. Other than that bringing our kids birth certificate and his naturalization certificate along with our marriage license and certificate. Not sure if I need anything else. Of course the tax transcripts too.

To submit an online inquiry, you need to be outside of your offices normal processing time. That is usually several months. You can call at any time or make an Infopass at any time, but at this point the most likely response will be that your application is well within normal processing times and that you are in the background check stage. There are four of us in this stage currently. Our applications are delayed and it'll probably be a few more months. But this is a matter of delay and not denial. Edited by JimmyHou

I am not sure if they need them. I sent that with my ROC application then since we had ROC interview we brought all of them again for int, then sent again for n400 application..... i think its enough lol

If you do decide to call them, be sure to come back and let us know what they say.

I'm curious for the 4 of us placed not placed inline... four questions (don't sweat it if you don't want to answer)...

Stavroula58, Groovyaardvark, JimmyHou, Spmaria

-What's your nationality?

-How long have you lived in the US?

-Do you travel internationally often?

-Do you have what you'd consider a common first or last name in your home country?
