On March 4, 2016, we scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization , Receipt Number.

Same as me. Looks like it's 6 of us left but a couple of members haven't logged in for a while (so their statuses might have changed by now)... I'm trying not to think about it but it's difficult. My husband jokes that government monitor our internet activities and they see how many times a day I login to USCIS tracking site, soon they'll start to think that I have some mental issues or nothing else to do. It's been like what? 7,5 weeks after biometrics but I already feel like DiCaprio waiting for his Oscar. I just don't like that my case stuck at the background check.

Hi sxm..I am also from Cincinnati and currently in January 2016 filers..I am glad to see your interviiew went well and you are approved..I have heard you can pick your oath ceremony date after the interview, is this true? Did they give you any idea when will the oath ceremony be? I would appreciate any feedback you can provide.

I had my interview today and application was approved.

The IO was very nice, asked to see GC, passport and took the traffic ticket payment proof. I remember 5 out of the 6 questions:

- Name 2 US holidays

- Who was the First President

- Who is the governor of our state

- What movement tried to end racial discrimination

- Where is the Statue of Liberty

I'm not sure what you mean by normal... from the table, you can see that four of us are in the same situation (including me). Two others are not updating their status. Everyone else is ahead of us. So you can say that out cases are special. We are almost certainly in extended background check review. This can take weeks or months... going by recent trends, it should take 6-10 months from the date of the application to the interview, but each case is different and that guess could be wildly wrong.

Some people have managed to move their cases along by contacting US CI S and asking about their applications Usually this doesn't seem to help much, though, before the third or fourth month after biometrics. This is just going by what other people have reported I really have no idea why calling sometimes helps and sometimes doesn't. But as I said above, you're not the only one in this boat, so just keep following posts from the other three whi are waiting to be placed in line. Good luck! Edited March 7, 2016 by JimmyHou
