Approved! Just have to wait for the oath ceremony notice, no same days in Cleveland. (And I'm actually back at work, they let me just go to the interview without charging me any PTO.)

Interview was very quick, I gave the IO a new sheet of trips outside the US including one I made to visit my parents at Christmas. 6/6 on the civics test. They wanted my green card, driver's license, and passport, and they did read through the proofs of payment for my traffic tickets but she probably would have been just fine without them. She didn't ask for my marriage certificate or even for my tax transcripts. No troubles at all.

Hmmm... I remember some of them. I know I was asked at least some of these... the others are guesses.

1. What are the first ten amendments to the Constitution called?

2. Name the current Speaker of the House of Representatives.

5. Who lived in America before the Europeans arrived?

6. We elect a President for how many years?

OMG I'm so excited! How many other people were there at the same time? Was it just you? Was it the same room where they have the windows to go up to? Trying to figure out if it's where I went for my stamps in passports.

There were a few other people in the waiting area, maybe... seven or eight other people? A surprising amount of people with their lawyers present. My inner Mustachian cringes at the waste of money, but who knows, maybe their cases were more complicated. Yes, the waiting area is the area with the windows (and the TVs that were all off, so bring a book) but the interview was done at the IO's office. Nobody seems to respect the "don't use your cell phone here" signs.

So you were able to bring your cell phone into the building? I would like to but will leave it in the car if its going to be a hassle at security.

Yes, the Federal Building in Cleveland lets you take your phone in, and USCIS didn't check. I suspect it's one of those across-the-board policy things that is spottily enforced. FWIW, my wife and I left our cell phones in the car.

LOL when I did my biometrics, the lady at the desk YELLED at a guy for using his cell phone! He was trying to turn it off but was way too slow for her I guess. Shouted at him asking if he could read the signs. And the lady he was with had to translate for him! Yikes!

Yeah, people seemed a little less grumpy in the field office than in the ASC. I would be less grumpy if I had my own office too!
