Out of the 10 of us who filed early, 8 were placed inline exactly 1 month before the green card anniversary date (with exceptions for weekends). Two of us were not placed inline by the predicted date. I'll update this list when the last two are placed inline.

You should absolutely take the disposition documents.

No way to tell at this point whether it'll delay your case or not, although this is unlikely to result in a denial.

I'm sorry; I misunderstood what you were asking.

No idea why they changed your inline date! Seems rather meaningless!

The only reason I can think of would be if you were placed inline when your background check wasn't done, then they updated the date when the check was actually completed... but I'm just guessing, and I've never seen that happen to anyone before.

I called right now and asked she said my interview is on March 28th and I should be getting the letter soon.

I'm reading my interview instructions and it says:

"NOTE: Unless a traffic incident was alcohol or drug related or caused serious personal injury to another person, you do not need to submit documentation for traffic fines and incidents that did not involve an actual arrest if the only penalty was a fine of less than $500 and/or points on your driver's license."

I know we've had a lot of discussion about our traffic tickets in the past so wanted to share the exact words from the instructions I'm seeing.

I also did not know I needed to bring my children's birth certificates! I wouldn't have even thought of that though it makes sense. Eek!

Agree... thanks for sharing.

It says this in the Naturalization Guide too. See page 8, question 7: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/article/M-476.pdf

Seems very clear to me, but dozens of interviewers ask to see proof of payment of minor traffic fines anyway. Dozens of other interviewers say it doesn't matter and don't ask to see anything.

i live in maryland but recieved a speeding ticket in virginia and was fined $470 , my license has been suspended in VA since i still havent paid for this ticket. do you think im safe or maybe should i just go pay and get documentation for it? safe than sorry

If this shows up on your record (there's a good chance it will), then your citizenship process may be delayed.

Worse still, in some states, such an offense would result in a bench warrant for your arrest... that would definitely show up on your background check.

I suggest you take care of this before your interview.

I suggest you call the court first and find out what you have to do... in Texas, missing the payment date would necessitate a hearing in front of a judge and additional fines.

AGREED - especially for a DUI.

If this shows up on your record (there's a good chance it will), then your citizenship process may be delayed.

Worse still, in some states, such an offense would result in a bench warrant for your arrest... that would definitely show up on your background check.

I suggest you take care of this before your interview.

I suggest you call the court first and find out what you have to do... in Texas, missing the payment date would necessitate a hearing in front of a judge and additional fines.

Agree... thanks for sharing.

It says this in the Naturalization Guide too. See page 8, question 7: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/article/M-476.pdf

Seems very clear to me, but dozens of interviewers ask to see proof of payment of minor traffic fines anyway. Dozens of other interviewers say it doesn't matter and don't ask to see anything.

I'm bringing everything I've got. I had the receipt but not the actual ticket because I was so upset about it I threw it out when I got it. So i got a transcript of my driving record which shows it to go with my receipt.

I am almost there.

In line for interview: 12/24/15

Interview letter: 01/05/16

Interview: 2/11/16

Today I got email saying

"We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt Number XXXX, with the date, time, and location of your oath ceremony. You should receive your notice within 30 days of its mailing date. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

The interview went well. We went together through my application. He ask for my passports, green card and driving license. He did not want any more documents. First, he asked some questions about address, name of the spouse, date of birth and answer to the Y/N questions on the application. Ask me to sigh that the information is correct.

Exam part was fast. First read one sentence then write one sentence and the civics part. He said that he needs to record my first answer, so do not rush. My questions:

1. Name one war fought by the United States in the 1900s

2. Who is the Chief Justice of the United States now?

3. The House of Representatives has how many voting members?

4. In what month do we vote for President?

5. Who is the “Father of Our Country”

6. We elect US Senator for how many years?

I took me total 20-30 min inside.
