LOL no problem. Does this mean that I am in line for the interview or that I am going to be getting the interview appointment soon? Just doing some research on line

You are now inline for interview... the next update will say that your interview has been scheduled.

Notice that since you didn't apply 90 days early... you only applied a few weeks early, you were placed in line a few days after biometrics.

Others should expect the same.

New citizen here . Ceremony was last Thursday at the Irving Texas Field Office. Schedule was supposed to be @ 8:30, but they started the check in process around 8:45 which took about 45 minutes. Th

Basically means you're standing by for an opening. They will next send you a letter with the date and time!

It will be so sweet to be done with USCIS forever. I'm hoping I can get naturalized before my kid is born this May! (Otherwise I'll have a bit of an update for the IO ;))

I'm also kind of looking forward to seeing an actual USCIS office. I've only ever been in ASCs or consulates so far since they've always skipped my interview whenever it was a possibility. Turns out, the ASC in Cleveland is actually a different room (and floor) than the normal USCIS field office.

OK Now I'm even MORE excited. First moemac and then you! Yours is reassuring to me because I'm Cleveland as well. I expect to see myself inline as soon as I hit the one-month mark ahead of my GC anniversary. You were not filing early like me so you're breezing right through but I'm super pleased Cleveland is on it!! WooT!

I would expect both you and me to be placed inline on Feb 16th... our anniversaries are on the 14th and 15th, but those are a Sunday and President's Day respectively... unless the system is automated, which would make sense (but when does USCIS make sense) in which case we may be placed in line on those actual days.

BUT... let's not put all our hopes on that... sometimes there are very routine delays of a week or two, so I hope no one puts all their hopes on the "1 month before anniversary" thing... looking at past date, maybe 1/4 to 1/3 of applicants are not placed inline on that date.

Having said that, I hope it works for us! Fingers crossed!

In Cleveland, I think you have a pretty good shot at that.

I think the interview scheduling process is automated. XD When my interview was first scheduled, it was descheduled the next day. I was so sad but then a few days after I received the notices in the mail, I received a call from the IO handling my case and she said that the computer had automatically generated an interview schedule for me before she had a chance to so she had to cancel the computer-generated one to schedule an earlier interview appointment (due to military filing).
