Completed biometrics today. I was in and out in about 30 minutes.

Again, I was impressed at how nice the Cincinnati office people are. Hopefully the IO is nice too!

Now the waiting begins...

It's normal :-)

It just means that those of us who recently completed biometrics really shouldn't expect any more updates until 1 month before our anniversaries... since many of the December filers have anniversaries in March, we've got several weeks to go before we are placed in-line.

Just realized i did not include a traffic citation that i received after an accident 2 years ago. Basically I said no to that question. Completely slipped my mind! Should i just bring documentation to the interview?

It shouldn't matter that you said no on the application, you can bring it up at the interview. Honestly, I think the best thing to do is this: when the interviewer gets to the citation question and asks if you've ever been arrested, cited, etc., then you can just say that you've never been arrested or cited except for traffic tickets. That way you've answered perfectly honestly. The interviewer can then decide if he wants to know more. If you've got proof that you paid the ticket or if it's easy to get, then take it with you.

Thanks for the advice Jimmy. I think i am going to try to get a copy of my driving record from the DMV as well as a copy of the record from the court. I think it was for $120 or something like that.

Below is a link to the Buffalo Passport agency (run by the State Department and not by USCIS). Their website says that they will allow you to make an appointment to submit your passport and then pick up your passport in person "for life and death emergencies or immediate international travel". You can call or stop by to confirm that they can provide you with a same-day or next-day passport, but people at other passport agencies do this all the time so I don't think it'll be an issue. To speed things up, you'll want to schedule your appointment just under 2 weeks before your oath so you can visit the agency the day of or the day after your oath.

I guess it depends who you get! I had one guy last week who I had a lot of fun with. He even said "Oh look at your beautiful picture, want to see!??" and I looked... he was actually teasing because my eyes were closed!

I'm guessing you should see yourself in line for your interview very quickly since you're not filing early, right?

They didn't show me my NICE picture. They only showed me the crappy one that had to be deleted and then take another one. The lady who was there was grumpy. The guy was nice. They were having a lot of problems with their equipment though and were upset about it.

No updates on My USCIS yet, but that's probably a bit optimistic. I would imagine being put in line would be an automated process though, assuming the FBI checks come back clean, which should also be an automated process.

But then, we're dealing with the government, so all bets are off.
