mine is nbc * then few digits...does somebody else have star?

N-400 case numbers have a * after nbc!

Did early biometrics yesterday, 01/04.

I will be out of town next week, so i decided to try to do it early instead of changing my plans or rescheduling appt. So i went to the local office early morning and this grumpy man at the front desk said that they don't accept walk-ins and i will have to reschedule my appt. I tried to explain him situation but he didn't want to listen, he interrupted me and said that I can sit there and wait, and maybe by the end of the day they will let me do fingerprints. So i told him I will come back later, before they close and try again. And i did, I went back to the office about 30 minutes before closing time. There was the same man but with completely different attitude. He was smiling, talking and trying to be funny by making jokes :) He listened to my explanation and let me in, but he said that I shouldn't tell anyone because they really do not accept walk-ins, and a lots of people are coming early because they red it on internet :)

Did everyone create a USCIS account to track their progress? The G-1145 document is only good for the initial notification.

You need to create and account, add your case number, and then turn on notifications.

Just making sure everyone knows this.

I don't think there's a notification for biometrics though... at least I didn't get one before I got the letter in the mail.

I did, but nothing is changing there. Mine still says that they received my case. And I got biometrics letter, but didn't get any notifications. When I called customer service center about two weeks ago regarding my biometrics appt they told me that online case status is updated once a month. So I decided not to check it anymore, at least not every day :)

They wont change anything before case is closed..

I did, but nothing is changing there. Mine still says that they received my case. And I got biometrics letter, but didn't get any notifications. When I called customer service center about two weeks ago regarding my biometrics appt they told me that online case status is updated once a month. So I decided not to check it anymore, at least not every day :)

Going by the other monthly threads, it looks like the next update should be when you are placed inline for your interview sometime after biometrics.

Your green card 3 year anniversary was back in May, so you didn't apply 90 days early... so USCIS doesn't have to keep your application on hold until your anniversary date... in such cases, early bio can speed things up by a week or 10 days. Congratulations! You are our first reported In-Line.

Yes, and you need to enter all characters if checking your status online.

Did early biometrics yesterday, 01/04.

I will be out of town next week, so i decided to try to do it early instead of changing my plans or rescheduling appt. So i went to the local office early morning and this grumpy man at the front desk said that they don't accept walk-ins and i will have to reschedule my appt. I tried to explain him situation but he didn't want to listen, he interrupted me and said that I can sit there and wait, and maybe by the end of the day they will let me do fingerprints. So i told him I will come back later, before they close and try again. And i did, I went back to the office about 30 minutes before closing time. There was the same man but with completely different attitude. He was smiling, talking and trying to be funny by making jokes :) He listened to my explanation and let me in, but he said that I shouldn't tell anyone because they really do not accept walk-ins, and a lots of people are coming early because they red it on internet :)

Thanks for sharing this. it's pretty helpful, especially for people filing in Miami.

I had a feeling they'd schedule my appointment while I was out of town later this week, but I'm glad to see it's for the 13th when I'll be back!
