Oh and make sure that you brush up on the civics questions just in case they fire those at you again. Prepare for this re-interview like it is your first citizenship interview. Just be super prepared and maybe have your spouse go with you. Even though your spouse cannot go in it still shows a united front.

Hopefully, after this interview is over, the IO will tell you that you have been recommended for approval and that you should get your interview notification in the mail.

You  100% sure she can't go w me?

Im confused cause letter says bring id and doesn't say bring your spouse like it said for our roc interview. But top of the letter with address showing both our names

Your spouse will not be able to go into the interview room with you. She will have to wait in the waiting area but it is good to have her there in the waiting room so when the IO comes out and sees you two together at least they will know that you have a legitimate marriage and you present a united front especially if they are questioning your marriage for citizenship.

My husband was waiting for me in the waiting room, my IO saw him and waved to him. And yes, Moe is right, my IO mostly asked about our joint taxes (who worked, who filed and etc.). So make sure you have everything with you.

- most recent bank statement

- credit card statement showing we paid for her school

- pix whit my parents who visited last year and met her for the first time. Although we have just a few pix but I guess at least one is fine

- paper showing we bought a car in January although car loan is only on my name bank account is on both names. I guess I'll finish this nightmare

Spring, when is your interview?

Do you have any insurance together like car/health/home owners? Do you have a mortgage together? If so, I would bring those documents with you.  If you have a cell phone plan together bring the bills for those.  The IO will have your whole immigration file with them during the interview.

When I went in for my interview, the IO had my file on his desk which was approximately 20" thick. I asked him if my file was everything that was done for immigration and he said yes. He told me that it contained everything that was submitted by me and all paperwork that USCIS had included in that file from the K1 process right to citizenship. I know that the IO looked at everything in my file because I had submitted cable bills with both of our names on it and he made a joke about our cable provider.

If you and your wife have wills done, I would highly suggest that you bring that copies of those with you as well as any life insurance documents that you can provide where it shows that you are both the beneficiaries if one of you passes away.

It is crazy that all of this hoop jumping has to be done to go through this process.

We do have car, dental and life ins on both names. We both took health through our employees as it was cheaper for both.

No mortgage. To be honest as how this is process going I don't want to buy anything big as I don't know know if they will let me stay in this country.

We we have no phone plan together and I explained on last int why. But what I have is (what I was asked to show) listing of all our calls. It showing anywhere between 20-40 calls per month between us.

You know what's best in your case, but I will share my opinion for what it's worth.

I don't see any benefit to withdrawing the application.  You have to wait until November to reapply, so why not go in for the interview in 10 days anyway and see what happens?  A denial for ineligibility doesn't affect your eligibility at a later date (as long as you didn't provide false information).  So I would just go to the interview and if it doesn't work out, I would reapply in November.  At this point, you've already paid the money, so what's the harm?  This is only based on the information I have; I understand there may be other issues.

Didn't this start off with a delay caused by the lawyer filing an FOIA request?  That was a very odd thing to do; I would consult a second lawyer before withdrawing the application.  Sorry if I'm mixing you up with someone else.

If you do decide to do the interview; take your spouse with you.  Second interviews are not usual procedures; in fact one person on here was not given a decision at a second interview specifically because the spouse wasn't present (that was sometime in 2016).

If you decide to withdraw the application, realize that you may be asked why when you reapply.  It could be as simple as saying that you realized you were not eligible, but if you are eligible, they may want to know why you withdrew it.

Best of luck to you.

I'm curious... was this out of the blue or had you contacted them recently?

Jimmy, thats me.

We already withdrew it. To be hones  i was not able to provide all paperwork they requested. Also lawyer said it is better to do it than having denial on the record. I dont know if i did a right thing but at this point I am so sick of proving my marriage. First time at AOS, second time at ROC Iterview. Third time at citizenship interview. Fourth time after citizenship interview sending RFE. This would be fifth time. They obviously dont believe us. So we did this and once i meet requirements to apply under 5 years rule we will apply again.

I know i paid lot of money. I see yoru point but man....i just cant......

Sounds like you made the right decision... if it was getting to a very frustrating point, then waiting a few months and following an easier process is a smart thing to do.  November isn't very far away.  Good luck to you, and I hope you come back and let us know how things go!
