NVC Filers - December 2015

We got approval from CSC on November 17. But when I check the USCIS website it still shows that date as the last activity on our case. Does this mean it hasn't been sent to the NVC yet? I thought they updated the USCIS site when they sent the case off to the NVC. It seems awful to think that absolutely nothing has happened for the last 20 days. Especially since most CSC cases have been taking 45 days and ours was over 100.

Is it possible it's been sent on a while ago? I hope so much that it was. It's so incredibly difficult here without my husband (I know it is for most of us). :'(

Mine never showed that was sent to NVC. The last update is from

When they approved it. Almost 5 months ago.

The reason why your case at CSC took over 45 days is because you filed 129F K3 along with your I-130. Once you file K3, your I-130 will be pulled from the queue based off of priority dates and both petitions will be "tied" together and are adjudicated at the same time. Sadly, K3 processing is taking much longer than the standalone I-130 at all service centers. The whole purpose of K3 is defeated because of this. It's obsolete now K3. Only K1 filers are getting faster approvals.

Coming to your status update, I'm not sure about CSC, but mine was NSC and it did get updated to something like "Case shipped to Department of State for ...... " and then it took 4 days for NVC to receive it and another 10 days to get the case number and IIN number.

HTH !

Don't worry about it. Have u sent paystubs ? If you have sent paystubs or employment letter to substantiate the income on transcripts, then no need to worry about w2 as long as your income on the transcripts for 3 years satisfy the minimum requirement.

We have a 16 October scan date. We called and were placed on supervisor review and were told not to contact the NVC for 42 days. I expected the 3rd n/a within the week after being placed on review but it didn't happen for us like it did for a lot of people last month. I have seen so many with scan date after us get their cc...and we haven't received a checklist for a single document...we have no extra sponsors, nothing complicated about our case, I'm beginning to think they let people go and some people are made to wait just randomly. If we got our cc after 30 days I would probably have my interview date by now.

How unfortunate, a similiar situation happened to us while in the USCI stage, we saw many people after ys get approved and our application was still untouched.

I suggest you keep calling and asking of the status, I wouldnt just sit and wait for the 42 days, many people here call constantly while on supervisor review, just dont see any harm on calling so at least your case is under their radar.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the encouragement and the suggestion Chiquitabella29. I'll try to phone again tomorrow.

The other thing I want to say about the NVC is they say " we haven't looked at your case" when you call and yet it is over 6 weeks since our scan date and they are processing cases with scan dates from November so they have a process that isn't fair. If they look at your papers and send you a checklist (within the 30 days) that's one thing but to potentially have nothing wrong with your papers but still be kept waiting past the so called timeframe is just unfair.

RRockz thanks. Both me and my co sponsor I send most recent IRS transcript which is 2014 and six months of paystubs.

You do not need to worry about "W2" if you have submitted an IRS "Transcript", because that is a proof that IRS has accepted your return. You will need to send in a "W2" only if you are submitting Tax "Return" itself. Employment letter/paystubs are important.

Just throwing in my two cents, I believe the instructions say we should submit transcripts of 3 most recent years. Otherwise, they might ask for some explanation as in why you haven't filed for previous years.

Yeah I hear ya Sebastian, we had the same issue but with the IV Fee earlier this year. It actually took them two months to unlock the IV Fee for us, all of which was time wasted due to bureaucratic inefficiency, but things only worked out at the end because I kept on calling and asking for it to get resolved. I have no idea how things work internally at the NVC, but you do have some cases of people whizzing right through the process, while it takes others over a year to get anywhere. So as others have suggested, I guess one of your best chances of moving things along is to just keep on calling and asking for updates.

Cheers!
