I gave this a try to see what they have to say:

Congrats to all who got there case complete.... Now i think since the November rush is over we are getting to slow Dec and Jan mode for NVC.... As per my calculation i believe they will start moving to Dec 1st and 2nd week cases in next 7-10 days. The volume of incoming really picked up in Dec 1st onwards when CSC and Potamac service center started flooding NVC and overwhelmed them with approved cases. By just approving cases in 2-3 months..... and for unlucky people like me who went to Nebraska waited 5+ months just to get I-130 approved and then waiting for NVC 3+ months to get a interview. If you really ask me there is no point for NVC for people whose date are current like USC spouses because there is no visa limit so they should not even go to NVC and should be handled by USCIS and Embassy involved directly. This NVC thing just slow things down and does nothing else......

I have lived in Brazil where they require 2 different police certificates that are only valid for 3 months ! I already had to pay for translations and will have to pauy again because of all this delay!

That is true. I am in the same situation. Waited 6 months through Nebraska. And I am entering my 3rd month with NVC! They tske 3 weeks to receive thd package from USCIS, another 2 weeks to issue a case number , a week to make the forms svailable after payment and 2 weeks to scan the docs after receiving thdm and sendding an email stating a 30 day waiting time... Now suddenly it is 40 days when all these people applying through the new centre hsve already cought up with us at the NVC!!! It is really unffair on us!!

How do you send in photos to the nvc? Do you print them on regular white paper(8x11) or you get the real photo paper?

I sent my pictures to USCIS on photo paper. NVC should have those photos in the packet if you sent them in with your original I-130.

Just wanted to update. I received an email this morning that our expedite request through Amsterdam for financial hardship and medical hardship was approved!

Married in Barbados: June 10 2015

Jul 20 2015: Lawyer Mailed I-130 Packet to Chicago lockbox

Aug 7 2015: I-130 NOA1 (California!!!)

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

***NVC***

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Fees show as "paid".

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Jan 8 2016: Mailed AOS & IV packets

Why do you want to sent photos to NVC ?

Its not a part of the AOS or the IV.

It says you need to bring it to the embassy and medical.

Can we email NVC to ask about CC? Do they respond?

Don´t email, CALL.

A email can take weeks if not longer.

But call if you can see 3 times N/A

Got a checklist last night because they wouldn't accept my husband's birth certificate. Scan date 12/21. Ordered another birth certificate online last night and requested expedited service so I'm hoping to respond to the checklist within a week. Any thoughts on timelines? I assume I'm looking at 30-45 days from when they receive the scan of the birth certificate? This is so frustrating. I had a specific conversation with a rep before I sent the documents about the birth certificate and was told the original would be acceptable. And now it's not!

Hmm. Just got an email from NVC. It wasn't a checklist, but a resend of the email sent after they received my documents, statingthe my scan date is 12/2 and give it 30 days to process. Anyone else got that?

This is the longest 30-45 ever!!!!
