Your embassy is in Canada don't you have option of Electronic processing ? Or does your embassy or consulate does not allow that.... I though Canada allows that EP.... But i may be wrong

Yes there is the option, but many of my lawyer friends said it was a bad idea to use EP. And It seemed better personally to mail the IV and AoS packets. Why do you ask?

If you do EP you save yourself time of not dealing with manual scan and then review of document...... Instead EP is lot faster because it is dealt by another department and they are not overwhelmed by mail and other letters that has to be sorted and then piled up in a queue to be reviewed by somebody..... I am just saying because look at morgan.croft timeline they did EP and they are done with case complete even though there scan date was Dec 4 and they even got a checklist and within 12 days case complete. I am just saying if i would have that option i would have gone that route for sure.

But i will hope and prey to god that you get your case complete soon... I know the feeling of agonizing wait is too much and very hard on people who are away from there loved one's....

That is not the impression I was under from many different sources. But either way, it is too lat now and all I can do is hope and wait.

Thank you for the prayers, I will pray for you and your loved ones as well (:

Sound I mail AOS and civil doc together or separate

Any suggestions?

Together is best in my opinion. Just make sure they are seperated in the envelope, separate cover sheets etc. I put 2 envelopes inside the bigger one from UPS. (:

I will put your theory to the test. I also did EP and my scan date is DEC 7th, I will also figure out if NVC process applications as they claim "In the order that they are received" If we don't get CC by January 3rd I guess both are not true.

Do you need to call them for that ?

Or is that just a option ?

I just happened to call to check in and the operator noticed that they haven't already reviewed by DS 260. No need to call that in.

I can feel myself becoming extra anxious and impatient today, still nothing from NVC. I am confident though, if not tonight it will be tomorrow!(: I think I may be the last 11/20 scan date, so good luck to all of those who are 11/21 and later! You all are next (;

According to travel.state.gov:

Under Petitioner documents it states the following:

If you are applying for an IR5 (parent of a U.S. citizen) or F4 (brother or sister of a U.S. citizen) visa you must obtain an original (or certified copy) of your petitioner’s birth certificate.

  • You must send a photocopy of your petitioner's birth certificate to the NVC.
  • You must submit the original (or certified copy) and a photocopy of your petitioner's birth certificate to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate at the time of your interview.

The only petitioner document I needed was a photocopy of my wife's passport biographic data page for her I864.

Yes you need to send copy of your marriage termination certificate which are your divorce papers.

For the NVC stage, marriage termination documents are only applicable for the beneficiary, not the petitioner.
