Hi all, NVC just received our case last week. What's the typical wait time, currently, to receive the case number? Thanks in advance!

I think around 3 weeks. We received ours after 20 days.

CR-1 Timeline - 255 Days

 

USCIS - 81 Days

07/31/15: I-130 Mailed
08/06/15: NOA1 -- California Service Center
10/26/15: NOA2

 

NVC - 61 Days

11/05/15: NVC Received Case
11/25/15: Completed DS-261
11/28/15: Paid AOS Fee
11/30/15: DS-261 Reviewed Over Phone
12/02/15: Paid IV Fee
12/04/15: DS-260 Completed
12/04/15: Scan Date
01/05/16: Case Complete

 

CANADA

02/25/16: Interview - APPROVED!!!
03/07/16: Visa in hand

03/29/18: POE @ YVR

 

Removal of Conditions - 630 Days

hey I call NVC today and got my case # & forget to ask for my IIN I was wondering went you call then did you receive both # the same time you call thank you.

Time varies from person to person I've seen people get it in 3 days, but it took us 21 days to receive our case # and IIN. Best of Luck!

How long does it take for the NVC to receive your case from the USCIS right after being approved ? My case was just approved in December 1st, 2015 from the Potamac Service Center. Also, do I just wait until the NVC reaches out to me

I found out my case was approved via the uscis website. So I have not received the letter yet.

I found out my case was approved via the uscis website. So I have not received the letter yet.

Our case took 19 days to NVC from USCIS

My scan date was September 22 and no CC or Checklist yet. Should I be doing something about this??

Hey guys - I made a mistake. My scan date was October 22, not September 22. But anyhow, just after posting this I checked and saw 3 N/A's and then yesterday (a day after I saw the N/A's but I don't check everyday) I got the official case complete / interview letter.

Was more than 30 days, so hang in there!

06.21.13 : Met in Namibia

  • 10.11.14 : Submitted I-130 via DHL from Namibia to Chicago Lockbox
  • 10.15.14 : Petition Received (according to online case status)
  • 10.20.14 : NOA1 (received initially via e-mail); Case Transferred to California Service Center
  • 10.31.14 : NOA2 (received initially via e-mail); Case Transferred to NVC (11 days from NOA1)
