Update! Just recieved this email 5 minutes ago

"The U.S. Embassy or Consulate is willing to expedite this case when we have all the fees, forms, and documents. If you have not already done so, you can pay your fees and submit Form DS-260 at ceac.state.gov. Please send everything else to this address:

National Visa Center

31 Rochester Avenue, Suite 100

Portsmouth, NH 03801-2915"

I already paid the AOS fee just need to submit the DS-260 form. When will my other fee become available?

Ok guys - I got checklisted, got to move quick now! I've filled in a new I-864 to send to NVC (i had previously sent an expired copy of the form), So here's my question! Do I send it to the same address as my initial package went to? Also, do I need to print the official AOS cover sheet again? anyone else had experience with this?

Thanks Guys

Good morning all....I'he having been followiby this thread ninja style. If someone would clarify something for me...I have seen where people have gotten email transmissions regarding. NVC rec'd my case on 8 Dec, I rec'd the IIN and case # on the 21, paid the AOS fee and the choice of agent on that date. I mailed the AOS and supporting documentation on yesterday...I didn't receive a welcome a letter until 26 Dec..but yet to get any type of email notification. Is this something that I should be concerned about and how long after the initial fee is paid will I be able to pay the other fee and submit the 260? I have read the Wiki on here but it seems like I am missing something. Thanks guys

The IV fee will unlock after your DS-261 has been reviewed... You can review it over the phone with an operator. Mine was available to be reviewed 5 days after I completed the DS-261. It should unlock the day after it has been reviewed. Once your IV fee shows paid, the DS-260 will be unlocked.

Hello, I finally received my Case number and IIN this morning. I logged into the ceac.gov website and was able to see a link for the AOS Fee payment. I went ahead and processed that payment and it now says "In Process". Obviously there is a section for the IV Fee payment but that leads to nowhere for now. My question is where on Earth is that DS-261 form? I cannot see anything that shows it is in there yet. I thought that came out immediately available and that the Fees wouldn't be available to pay until after. I just want to make sure I am not missing it. Others timelines show them submitting the form the same day they received the case number. I obviously don't want to delay and want to get it submitted as soon as possible to it can queue for review. Can someone walk me through the exact steps once logged in to find this form? Did anyone else have trouble finding it at first and then it appeared later in the day?

I haven't gotten anything in writing yet - I called NVC yesterday, and they told me this info over the phone. In my frustrated haste, I got off the phone before thinking to ask the process for resubmitting the the required documents :/

It should be right above the AOS fee stuff in the section called Choice of Address & Agent (DS-261).

Did you file with a lawyer?

Did you receive an email checklist? I know on my email checklist, it included a cover sheet on page 2 to use for mailing to the NVC.

I did not file with a lawyer. I see three headings at the top of the screen: Choice of Address and Agent, Fee and IV Application. Clicking on any of them relogs me in and brings me back to this same page so I think this is the toolbox page. Next it says:

Summary Information

Please contact the National Visa Center , if you want to change the Agent/Attorney Name or Address Information on your case.

To process your case, you must first pay any required fees. Then, each applicant accompanying the principal applicant to the United States will need to complete the online IV Application (form DS-260). The IV Application may be partially completed and finished later, or may be completed at one time. However, once submitted, please contact the NVC if you need to update the form.

After submitting the DS-260, mail all supporting documentation (as listed on the Documents the Applicant Must Submitweb page) for each applicant to the NVC.

Once received, it will take the NVC 2 to 4 weeks to review your case. If any additional information is required after the review, the NVC will notify the applicant (or the applicant’s agent).

I would assume that the link for it would be somewhere in there but there is nothing. Just below it are two additional sections within blue heading boxes reading: AFFADAVIT OF SUPPORT and APPLICANT INFORMATION. The first section there is where I was able to pay the AOS Fee. The second section looks like it would let me pay the IV Fee but that has nothing there once you click through yet. Which I expected.
Thanks so much for helping me.

I didn't know that NOT filing DS-261 was an option? Anyone else had this?

I've only heard of it happening when a lawyer files your petition on your behalf, but I could be missing other scenarios.

Just out of curiosity, in the IV fee section, does it show your name as the principal applicant, or is it blank? If it's blank, it usually means it's in the process of being invoiced.

I found this:

When is a DS-261 not required?

A DS-261 is not required if:
• a G-28 is received from USCIS indicating that an attorney is the agent;
• the visa applicant filed the petition on his or her behalf;
• a child is being adopted.

None of those seem relevant so I am worried to accept that this is correct and find out later we are delayed because of it!

Just out of curiosity, in the IV fee section, does it show your name as the principal applicant, or is it blank? If it's blank, it usually means it's in the process of being invoiced. : On the summary page it shows the name as principal applicant. When I click the "Pay Now" Button it takes me to the payment portal for both. There it shows my AOS Fee as "In Process" and the IV Fee section is blank, no name

My advice would be to call the NVC. They should be able to confirm whether it needs to be completed, or if it is required for your specific case. ?
