NVC Filers - December 2015

Sooo, I called today and they told me my case had been reviewed! But.... Theres always a but - The Affidavit of Support form I had used (downloaded DIRECTLY from their website, had expired. Severe unhappy faces over, here, and of course, another 30-45 day wait for review again. Make sure you check those expiry dates people!

When i downloaded the form back in June i had a look and noticed the expiration date and that it only had a month or two till it expired, I didn't think it was going to be a problem if i sent them an expired form but when November came around and it was time for me to fill in the application to send it over i went back to the website and noticed they had the same form up but the expiration date was extended. So just for safe measure i downloaded the new form and transferred the information on to the new form. I'm so glad i did that. I hope you don't have to wait the full 30 - 45 days and wish you a speedy CC.

There are few I-864 versions, not all versions like EZ and others I do not remember change or update at the same time.

New editions dated 07/02/15. (Starting 10/06/15, USCIS will only accept the 07/02/15 edition. Until then, you can use the 03/22/13 edition.) The edition date can be found at the bottom of the page on the Form and Instructions.

Thanks! Yeah, in retrospect, I should have done that! But, yeah I hope that its not the full wait, I get the impression that people with checklists tend to have their stuff reviewed a little quicker, as in my case its just the one form to check!

I try calling NVC but it just hangs up. Is it because they busy ?

That is not correct.They state very clearly on their email that we should allow them 30 days from the date they receive the documents to review them.

Not the day we receive the email.For example I received the email on December 1st BUT the day they received the documents was November 27th. The difference now is that instead of 30 it will be closer to 45 days to hear from them.

Sorry no, you are wrong. The email says "Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail." So that is the scan date, not the date on the email (: Unless I am reading your message wrong- in that case I am sorry.!

I just called NVC, they said now it takes 45 days to review instead of 30 days, my scan date is Nov 20. So i am waiting for 3 magical N/A, hope i get it soon.

For those who are waiting for email confirmation from NVC that they have recieved your AOS and IV package, it may not happen since i never recieved any acknowledgment for my recieved documents.

I didnt see any CC today in this forum yet.

We are saying the same thing.My comment was a response to another user saying that the date you start counting is the day you receive an email from them. What I said was that that was inaccurate and your scan date is the day they say they received your mail (so the aos and iv documents).Sorry if I wasn't clear- Date they received your documentsand put them in the system=scan date, so 30-45 days after that you get case complete

We can keep guessing all day long but NVC process is almost as black hole type with no transparency as it can be. Nobody knows there also what case they are working and when they are working.... Just prey to god and hope your case finally gets picked up and they review it. Because what i am seeing is they are very random they just do what they think they want to do..... It's just do your best and keep waiting
