Just called NVC and no update. This wait is the worst.

I feel your pain. In 8 more days you would have passed the 45 days set by NVC, and the problem with that is if it does pass 45 days and you give them a call it will be put under supervisor review which may slow down the process even more. The system sucks big time, I really wish they do process them in the order that they are received this way we all wait equal amount of times. It's unfair that some people with no fault of their own waits a year or two while other who have gone through the same exact process only wait a couple of months.

I sure do hope I get CC by 45 days, as I don't want to be faced with the decision of supervisor review or not.

I wish someone knew how NVC process' our documents. There has to be a process in place. Perhaps it's by country.

I looked at your timeline and there is something odd about it. You said you paid your DS260 fees and submitted the DS260 on Nov 24, 2015. So i have a theory that is even your scan date is Nov 19th but your case was completed for review on Nov 24th as that is when your case was flagged to be ready for review because i believe they only review and mark application complete when everything is completed. Also your case is still that they have reviewed your document but since they have not reviewed your DS260 so that is why you case is not complete. I believe you case complete is just around the corner just hang in tight.

Also as per whether they do it by country basis it is very high probability. Also they might be doing based on Embassy date availability and Visa preference Category too i.e. CR1 or spouses of USC gets the highest priority and then so on.

But there is no exact things to say for sure. It looks like a black box to me this whole NVC process.

A lot of people would be in the same situation because we mailed in our documents after submitting AOS fees, and before paying IV fee and submitting DS-260. You could be on to something though.

You start counting from the day you receive an email from NVC confirming that they have received your documents.

Thanks. I have always been under the impression it was from the date they received your documents, not the day you got the email. Perhaps I am mistaken.

Either way. I am close and just need to remain patient.

That is not correct.They state very clearly on their email that we should allow them 30 days from the date they receive the documents to review them.

Not the day we receive the email.For example I received the email on December 1st BUT the day they received the documents was November 27th. The difference now is that instead of 30 it will be closer to 45 days to hear from them.

I didn't receive an email from NVC after submitting the DS-260 and AOS and IV documents (although they have confirmed to me on the phone that they have my correct email address), but when I called NVC I was told they received my documents on December 21 and that it would be 30-45 days to review them. Should I be concerned that I didn't get an email?

Receiving mails does not tell that the document are scanned. You will get an email or confirmation from them when they scan there document in the system. Did you got other emails from NVC like AOS bill, IV fee bill notices if yes then you will get the email soon as soon as they scan your documents in there system.

I did get one email when the IV bill invoiced. Does that mean 12/21 isn't my scan date even though the rep said they received them then and that it would take 30-45 days to process? I emailed the documents nearly two weeks ago now, on December 16!

All my paper work was there the DEC. 22th but still no email from them.

But my scan date must there that date then.

Sooo, I called today and they told me my case had been reviewed! But.... Theres always a but - The Affidavit of Support form I had used (downloaded DIRECTLY from their website, had expired. Severe unhappy faces over, here, and of course, another 30-45 day wait for review again. Make sure you check those expiry dates people!
