Dumb Question...

Although the NVC sends a barcoded checklist of documents that need to be sent and complied in that order, is it best to send the documents in a binder folder, labeled two-hour punched at the top (like with the NVC) or loosely and simply binders with a paperclip?

Don't use binders or punch anything; simply clip everything together.

Good evening. I have a question. My checklist has "proof of relationship" and it also asks for a copy of the marriage certificate. What am I suppose to supply for proof of relationship, if they are also asking for a copy of the marriage certificate? Does a copy of the marriage certificate only meet the requirement for "proof of relationship"?

*This is the initial document submission.

You could send pictures together for proof of relationship. Like your wedding pictures etc

This needs to be done again? As those were submitted with the I-130. I can absolutely do that but I was under the impression that all the information submitted with the I-130 would be forwarded to the NVC.

Just called the NVC, my scan date is the 20th of November, the lady was very rushy but she just said to wait until the 45th day and then call. She also said they at the NVC have no knowledge of when or what dates they are working on. Very discouraging, but I guess I will just wait until January 4th (45 day mark). Hope others have better luck!
