Thx for that.

So you cant see that they scan the docs. on the site ? hmm had hoped that.

But i had a look at cases from STK - Sweden.

I looked at last 36 cases.

I gives about 14 days from scan to CC.

Hi crew,

So here's the latest this week -

12/14/2015 - Case # Assigned
12/15/2015 - Submit DS261
12/16/2015 - Paid AOS
12/16/2015 - Validated DS261
12/17/2015 - Sent AOS/IV Pkg overnight by Fed-Ex
12/17/2015 - Received Agent Assigned Email and IV Invoice
12/17/2015 - Paid IV Fee

As of today, AOS Fee is showing Not Paid (did show in process the day I paid it) but it is showing pending in my bank account today and I called twice and both said it's in process on their end. IV Fee showing in process, assuming tomorrow or Monday it will show pending from my bank.

How long til the DS-260 opens for me to submit? When will the NVC begin to scan my AOS/IV Package if it arrives there tomorrow morning with the following above so far completed?

Thank you all! So excited right now - oddly the best early Xmas present ever being able to pay the $445 this week lol.

Thank you Morgan! I saw yours took 2 days to show paid so I'll just impatiently try to be patient, ha.

Your scan date was the same date it showed paid though? When did you mail in your package?

Yep, it took 2 days. :)

I sent our documents in via email for Electronic Processing. I emailed them after completing the DS-260. I received an email on 12/9 stating they received our email and documents on 12/4.

I filed for expedite request (critical medical condition). Sent a personal letter, doctor's letter, and more evidence related. Hope to hear any type of response soon, denial or approval, hoping for approval of course, so I can at least know... does anyone know how long it would take to hear a response?

Today was exactly a week from when we were approved. I got a text and checked my status on USCIS website and it said case sent to Department of State....I believe that's right. Yes I would call once you hit a week and see if your case has been sent to NVC.

You will have to call NVC and see if they received it. I will do that next week and pray for a case# and IIV number. Keep me updated on when your case gets sent out.

Please share with us if you got CC . Anybody here does not have CC yet even though it has been more than 30 days since scan day?

oooh - did you use EP at NVC?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I've been reading it takes about 1-2 weeks to be reviewed by the embassy. NVC will send you an email to let you know your request is under review.

I have a question which is not exactly related to NVC but to the process itself.

I´ve gotten my former AOS denied and now I think I´m just traumatized and constantly expecting for the worse...I know I shouldn´t be though.

Anyways, my question is for you, the USC: if your spouse got his/her petition denied for the second time (God forbids this to happen), what would you do? Would you have the strenght to reapply, would you move to your spouse´s country and leave all you have in the US behind, divorce?

I´m really curious to hear your thoughts. I´m sorry if this is the wrong thread. I just didn´t want to create a big polemic thing by posting my question to the main page of VJ.

Thanks

Easy for me I would move to Nigeria f we were denied. Maybe refile after I was there a time. But we would retry for sure but I would defiantly move.

It is a simple answer for me, I would move to Canada with my Husband. But I have the luxury of where he is from being a great country in many ways, I also lived there for a few months while we were engaged. I am not sure how comfortable it is for you to move to Brazil. (I know some south American Countries aren't so welcoming.) But if you truly love them divorce should not be an answer, you'd just have to muster up the courage and strength to re apply or move yourself. It is a hard process I know, but worth it for those you love. (: Hope all goes well! Best of luck!
