Hi friends, we're at the very beginning of the NVC process and they've received our case today, exactly a week after the NOA2 email. Now we wait.

Really hoping for good news and CCs for you all very soon!

I'm so worried. I'm not sure what to do. We had a joint sponsor lined up, but 2 days ago we told him we were ready for his part of the process and we haven't heard anything back from him yet. Today I asked my lawyer (they are acquaintances) if he had been contacted by the sponsor and the lawyer hasn't answered either.

Once you've paid the fees, how long do you have to submit the paperwork to the NVC? Does the case ever "expire"?

As long as you contact NVC every year at least once your case and fees are still valid. Just make sure you at least inquire about your case once every year. But sooner you submit better you are.

Finally IV fee updated to PAID and completed DS-260.

I had a glitch where I was not able to select COUNTRY/REGION for the address of the beneficiary's children. They are not living with the beneficiary, they are both over 21, they are not migrating with the mother, neither later.

I tried Chrome and IE 11 unsuccessfully, so I decided to check the UNKNOWN ADDRESS box to be able to continue.

Has any one had any glitches filing DS-260?

STAGE 2: NVC

11-16-2015 NVC received our case,(12 days after NOA2).

02-02-2016 Received Interview Letter (P4) via email.

02-09-2016 Package picked-up by DHL at 15:29 Waybill 5992952011. CEAC status "IN TRANSIT"

STAGE 3: US Embassy Bogota

02-11-2016 US Embassy Bogota received my package at 10:39.

02-12-2016 CEAC Visa Status changed from "IN TRANSIT" to "READY"

02-24-2016 Lab exams at the clinic and Bio-metrics at the CAS center.

02-25-2016 Medical Exams.

03-01-2016 Interview Date (175 days after I mailed I-130) VISA APPROVED. CEAC status changed to AP

03-02-2016 Paid Immigrant Visa Fee via ELIS account. CEAC status changed to ISSUED

03-03-2016 US Embassy Bogota sends Passport and Visa package via DHL Waybill 2900131780 to Cali.

03-04-2016 My wife picked up at DHL sealed approved IV package and her passport with a stamped I-551 IV Category CR1.

Hi there - I posted in the other forum for June I-130 approvals with NVC November but no one has replied so I'm hoping someone in this blog can help me...

Submitted Ds-261 2 days ago. Submitted payment for AOS yesterday and said in process. When I went in there later in the afternoon, it switched to not paid but when I called NVC she said its pending with them and it's fine so don't pay again. Also, my receipt is still showing on the site and says "in process" so it's weird that it says that. She made me the agent just now too (when the woman earlier told me she couldn't yet) so that's great.

Question - when do I send the AOS and IV package to the NVC? After I pay AOS or after I pay AOS and IV? One more question, If I do have to wait til after I pay one or both, do the fees need to show paid (not in process) before I send the package or can I send it while it's pending? I have the cover sheet for AOS already so printed 2 copies out for each package but just need to know when I can send it! Also, I'll just fill out the DS-260 after once it becomes available?

If you have the cover sheet go ahead and send them both.

I was in the same situation as you, I had paid the AOS fee and waiting for the IV fee to become available. I though several times about sending in all the documents but i didn't because i feared the IV payment was taking a bit of time and i didn't want them to start working on my documents while the IV wasnt paid yet, i was afraid this would slow our process down. 7 days later the IV was available for payment, i made an immediate payment then sent in all the documents. I regret not having sent them earlier, i wasted about about a week.

It takes a little over 30 days for them to review the documents you have sent in, so if you feel you would have the AOS and IV paid and the DS-260 filled out before 30 days, then i suggest you send them ASAP.

And you did alter the last from 001 to 003 and the other way.

They dont all end on the same :)

STK - Embassy.

2015 - Year.

836 - 500+date (i think it was.).

003 - Can be 001 or 003.

Is it ok to call NVC? Our scan date is Nov.17. but I haven't see three N/A on the ceac website.

Think the last i hear it was about 30 day + 5.

But call them.

They say 2-4 weeks o the web page last i looked.

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Fees show as "paid".

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

Jan 8 2016: Mailed AOS & IV packets

Jan 11 2016: Packets delivered to NVC & marked "in transit" to consulate!
