I was hoping for a CC before Christmas, but by the looks of others timelines it will be pushing it. Scan date is the 20th of November and it seems on average it is taking 5 days longer than the '30 day' mark. So hopefully the week after Christmas will be the week. I know a lot of us are getting impatient and ready to be done! :clock::cry:

same here, my scan date is 11/20/15.

We can still hope it will come before the Holiday! But Late December wouldn't be too bad(: I'll let you know if I hear anything!

same here, my scan date is 11/20/15.

Remember one thing it has also to do with what country or embassy your case is going too. As i have read on this forum many times mostly cases going to your countries for sure lands in Additional Processing review at NVC and then also at Embassy.... so never think that two cases on same date will take same time. Also NVC process cases in random manner to me also, sometimes we might see them processing some cases very fast and then delay a few cases. Again it all depends whose desk your case is on at NVC and who is reviewing your case. Some are really fast and some will take there sweet time. But ultimately it will happen just hang tight man that is all i can say.

Is there anyway to speed up the process after getting a checklist?? I filled up I-864a incorrectly. I am sending it now. Anyone have gone thru the same situation???? How long will it take them to review it??

I believe it's another 30 days from when they receive the updated document.

That will say, a case time from scan date to cc is about 2-3 weeks.

I'm so worried. I'm not sure what to do. We had a joint sponsor lined up, but 2 days ago we told him we were ready for his part of the process and we haven't heard anything back from him yet. Today I asked my lawyer (they are acquaintances) if he had been contacted by the sponsor and the lawyer hasn't answered either.

Once you've paid the fees, how long do you have to submit the paperwork to the NVC? Does the case ever "expire"?

Married in Barbados: June 10 2015

Jul 20 2015: Lawyer Mailed I-130 Packet to Chicago lockbox

Aug 7 2015: I-130 NOA1 (California!!!)

Nov 17 2015: I-130 approved (102 days since NOA1)

***NVC***

Nov 25 2015: NVC received our file

Dec 11 2015: NVC case # assigned

Dec 14 2015: AOS & IV billed (same time as we have lawyer)

Dec 14 2015: Received email with case number and invoice number

Dec 15 2015: Paid AOS & IV Fees

Dec 20 2015: Email expedite request (financial & medical)

Dec 31 2015: Email from NVC. EXPEDITE APPROVED!

NVC received case: 12/16/15

Case # and IIN over the phone: 1/4/16, assigned 12/29/15

DS-261 submitted and AOS fee paid: 1/4/16

DS-261 reviewed over the phone: 1/8/16

Sent AOS and IV documents, received and paid IV fee: 1/11/16

Scan date: 1/12/16

DS-260 unlocked and completed: 1/13/16

Case complete: 2/18/2016

Interview date: 4/12/2016 -- visa approved!
