I have to agree with zeeeeeek, it looks very weird, approved in December, paid AOS in March of 2015.

Maybe update your timeline please.

mbalih, as I explained in my previous post to zeeeeeek, my timeline is accurate; it actually took them 2-3 months to unlock the fees for me, and it wasn't until I called them that they actually opened them up for me to pay. Apparently, and according to the NVC rep my account was "stuck" and the system was acting "buggy" (their words). I actually posted a warning back then on this forum for people to call in to make sure their accounts weren't "stuck" as well.

Yeah they are... the scan date is relatively delayed because we had to figure out some tax filing issues, as well as the fact that we have a joint sponsor and needed to coordinate with him to get his IRS forms, etc. Also we were delayed a lot in getting the IV & AOS fees available for payment; for some reason the system was acting "buggy" as per the NVC representative and had them locked until I called and finally got through to talk to someone about it.

I would imagine you would be one of the few handfuls of people to breeze through the process if it weren't for those issues you had unlocking the IV & AOS fees. It only took you 3 months to get NOA2. But i cant imagine how NVC received the case on the same day the I-130 was approved.

I didn't get it either back then, but I didn't question it. We received the I-797 stating a Notice Date of 12/11, and received the NVC welcome letter with our case and invoice ID numbers, dated 12/11 as well. I see how this can look really weird, but that's what we got.

This proves that anything is possible, And no matter how much research one does, you can really never know how long the process may take.

I agree... and I for one absolutely hate being so out of control, or so uninformed about such a procedure. Which is also why now that I'm hearing people with a similar scan date getting CC's, I'm checking into the CEAC site every hour, but still not seeing that 3rd N/A; it really is very nerve wrecking.

No, we didn't put in a expedite request. I'm not sure why we got through so fast, so I won't question it, lol.

Ok,

We never know with NVC. I'm glad for you and everybody who is getting their cc after a long journey.

  • I just called them and confirm it's a case complete. :joy: Best of luck to you all out there! (F)

Not that it's an issue, but why wait until next week? If you got 3rd N/A, sounds like CC and NVC could confirm that immediately?

I've seen a couple of posts in VJ, those who had called within 30 days mark and put under "supervisor review" so we didn't want to risk another 42 days.

Just wondering, do you count weekends in the 30 also, and just not holidays?

Just straight 30 days in my case.

So my husband called tonight and the operator confirmed that we are really case complete. Scan date November 3.

Thank you for being with us through the wait. Good luck to all of us.

Congratulations. Our case complete date also December 8.

Dear members, please clarify for me:

What does Received DS-261 / AOS Bill mean in the VJ timeline?

Is it receiving an email or letter from NVC or being able to pay the AOS fee after completing DS-261.

I called last night around 7:00 PM, received my case number and invoice ID number and then completed the DS-261 process successfully but the AOS bill still not available.

I noticed on most timelines and threads that AOS bills are available the same day the DS-261 is completed.

Should I call NVC or wait?

Thanks to all and good luck and Merry Christmas.
