For IR1/CR1 thr NVC schedules your interview for you.

K1 schedule their own interviews however both Montréal and Vancouver often have periods where no interview dates are available for months at a time.

Not sure anyone might be able to give me the answer to this.

I was trying to register my visa interview online for the courier service. I was filling it out, but then I saw it must match exactly what was on the DS-260. I got a new passport since I filled out the DS-260...should I put my old passport number or my new passport number? The warning about things not matching has me scared...

My husband had his medical with Dr. Cheema in Surrey, BC on Thursday Dec 17th and picked up the "sealed" results along with the CD of his chest x-ray on Friday Dec 18th. Good thing he has family to visit in the Vancouver area to make the trip worth the expense of the flight from Saskatchewan. He said Dr. Cheema was very nice. The appointment was @ 10:00 and he was done with the exam, x-ray & lab in about 2 hours.

The receptionist told him the sealed envelope was for the border. I know we need to take it to the interview in Montreal, but do you know if that is part of the "sealed" envelope we get back with our passport that we present to the border.

Just trying to get prepared for our next step, the interview.

The sealed envelope from Dr Cheema goes with you (your husband) to the interview in Montreal, and they open it up at the window and verify you passed.

When you get your visa back in the passport, they send you a *different* sealed envelope with it that you have to take to the border. I believe you are also supposed to bring the second envelope with the CD to the border when you make your POE? but it seems like a lot of the time the border person doesn't bother asking for it.

CBP don't care about the CD. It's just an xray of your lungs. Keep it for your new doctor in the USA if you want.

Gathering all the paperwork for our interview.

I know that they want the originals of birth certificate, marriage certificate, police certificate, etc... since what they received previously were just scanned copies.

My question is: Do they require the originals of your financial documents that prove the income and assets that are being used for the I-864 & I-864A?

I want to make sure that we have everything but don't want to take a bunch more paperwork than needed.

They would have told you if there was an issue.

Or you find out at the interview. They won't say anything if you "pass" or "fail" but if you failed due to a TB issue, they'd say something anyhow.

Bring the original signed I-864 stuff, they asked me for that. I can't remember if they wanted the IRS transcripts that were attached as well? I think so. Anything that they had that S next to in the P4 letter, I would bring the originals. They may not want them, but if they do, you'd better have them.

I had my interview this morning. They wanted the original (signed!) I-864 and the 2014 tax transcript. If you're relying on assets, bring proof of that too.

I had my interview this morning. They wanted the original (signed!) I-864 and the 2014 tax transcript. If you're relying on assets, bring proof of that too.

My concern now is we decided a few days ago to revise the I-864 to include Sean's (the immigrant) Canadian assets since he plans on selling/cashing in the future.

Does anyone know if we can just hand in the newest signed I-864 along with a photocopy at the interview? or should we wait to see if we qualify with the old information (cutting it close considering I have no income just Canadian assets) and present if not approved?

I am pretty sure I have seen people bring an updated I-864 to the interview without having been asked for it. Personally, I would take the new one and give it to them, if only because why have a 221g if you don't have to, and take the risk of things getting hung up (as I hope mine doesn't get hung up when I send my updated stuff tomorrow!!).

I am cautious by nature though it's no harm no foul to give them more evidence than they need.

Trying to get ready for the interview on Tueaday. Still don't have my package all together. I have all the originals I need. Just trying to get all the copies of everything printed out (the copies of my joint sponsors birth cert etc. since I don't have their originals). Still working on what extra evidence to bring for proof of relationship. We mostly just have travel itineraries and pictures as we don't have joint bank accounts or anything like that. I do have the birth cert for our 4.5 month old daughter. Hopefully they like that!

Does anyone know what the best way to proceed now for the interview is? I know before you could show up before 7am and pass basically on a first come first serve basis. My appointment is at 10am. Are they letting people go in early? Or i need to only show up at like 9 or? Any recommendations would be great.

On Tuesday, they were turning people away who came too early. While I was waiting for security, one woman was told to come back at 9am (it was already 8.15, so they seem to be quite strict). The line moved pretty fast, so I would suggest lining up at 9.30 for a 10am appointment. Good luck.
