For the past week, the media has obsessed over the shooting in Colorado Springs near a Planned Parenthood, and while our attention was drawn to that, another mass shooting occurred. The victim count was huge, but nobody seems to be talking about it, and its not hard to see why.

Some may have heard about the shooting that occurred in Louisiana last week, when gunmen opened fire at a park with some 300 people in it and injured 17 people, but for the most part, theres been silence from the media about it. According to the New Orleans Advocate, the Bunny Park shooting was an act of domestic terrorism, Mayor Mitch Landrieu said, and it was committed in cold-blood by several gunmen, one of which has been apprehended, but theres several reasons the media may be ignoring it.

Actually, people were talking about it. It was posted here in about a week ago in this forum by Merrytooth.

But let's get real. The only reason shootings that happen in these neighborhoods matter is when they're framed against shootings like Colorado.

it seems there have been 100's of Terrosit shootings in Chicago this year, manly of African Americans.

It get very little media coverage

Seems there have been more killings just in Chicago this year than all mass shooting deaths combined in the last 50 years

It gets coverage when people want to frame them against white mass shootings, and that's disgraceful.

Like when you went on non stop about American gun deaths to deflect the Paris killings

I didn't deflect from the Paris killings. Just pointed out that if we're so concerned about Paris and those killed that we are talking about banning/killing Muslims, why isn't there similar outrage in our home country when guns continue to take so many lives here? Or is the train of thought in this thread we need to ban black people from owing guns?

Another idiotic 'the Lefty media didn't cover this' thread. Google "bunny park shooting" and page 1 of the search results shows EVERY major news source covered this.

Google the name of the 'Left wing poster boy' for the no fly list getting arrested in Turkey and better than a week later, after the PJ RWNJ blog put up that story and only Faux News ran with it and even they could only say "PJ News reported."

Sorry but after all the rhetoric and demonizing of Planned Parenthood this shooting deserves the coverage it is getting.
