Yaaaayyy!!! I just called NVC as well, after seeing M.B's post, and guess what? I have an interview set!!!! It's going to be on January 19th, at 1pm.

Man, i'm happy!

Congratulations. That is very good news. That is quite a milestone. I am glad you were able to get a date, not too long after case complete.

Now to start preparing for your interview. Hopefully no snafus like on our end.

Congrats!! was your case expedited, if so how long did you wait from when your status showed ready on the website? did you get an email from consulate for you to schedule? we called the embassy to schedule and they had dates but they told us that we had to wait for the system to update becuase the it would not let them schedule us yet, our case showed status ready on monday, thanks for the response!

My status changed on November 27 to ready and there it says your case is ready for intervew, no I didn't get an e mail that letter you can pick it up at the embassy one day before your medical if you don't get it at home while waiting read this

The I wen here https://ais.usvisa-info.com And schedule then they sent me an email saying

You have successfully scheduled your appointment and paid the K Visa application fee. Here are the details of your transaction.

You must print this instruction page and bring it with you to your consular interview, along with the letter you received from the Consular Section.

That letter is the one I'm saying you can pick up at window in there

What is that.?

well Ir1 is for a perminent resident rather than a fiance visa, and we usually have to wait for NVC to schedule but since our case was expedited we now have to schedule the interview with the consulate directly, im wondering if that is what happened in your case or if there is a different process for K1 visas.

I'm waiting for my case to be complete after the Nvc stated that it was missing our marriage certificate. We sent it express mail and the received it on 10-30-2015, and I then received a letter stating that it will take 1 month for them to review it and get back to me. I called NVC today 12-1-2015 and the girl told me that it hasn't been reviewed but that she will foward it to her supervisor so they can review it ASAP. Is this normal? Will she really forward it her supervisor? Will that even help? And how long should I wait know? I'm soooo anxious I might just pick up and leave to Dominican Republic to be with Hubby ?

our reason is to spend Christmas with my family .... I think the reasons may be multiple must be convincing.

Whoa! I'm shocked they approved an expedite request based on a family wanting to spend Christmas together. This is landmark unusual and you're incredibly lucky. Being approved for expedite is normally very difficult because the circumstances have to be so extreme. I have a friend here in VJ who requested an expedite because she had to face a very major surgery and needed her husband there to help her in her recovery, but she was turned down flat.

So I shouldn't have called? My lawyer told me I shouldn't as they delay the case when we do. I can't imagine waiting another 42 days. I beyond frustrated right now, I can't imagine how you feel. Has anyone else had a supervisor review that didn't have to wait 42 days?

Kimbo, i'm sorry for asking but... Are you serious? Is that the real reason why they expedited your case? Because you wanna spend Christmas with the family??? Is there a medical problem with one of the members of your family or..?

Cause to be honest that seems wierd to me :/

Don't get me wrong, i'm happy for you! I just want to know if that's the real reason behind this expedited case. In the end, I think all of us here want to spend Christmas with the family and with our other half :)

M.B, is your case expedited as well or this the first sign that they started scheduling for January? :D Congrats tho!!! Good luck with the interview and hope you get a fast approval :)

yes that's the only reason mentioned in our expedite .... nothing ventured, nothing gained. .... it's really the only reason

You may not have 12 more days to go. 42 days is just considered to be the maximum amount of time a person may have to wait. Many people here have gone through supervisor review much more quickly, Ours was only 8 days. Any day now you could get the good news. As it's only December 1st, it's possible you could end up with a January interview. Keep up your hopes!

Wow that makes me feel a little better! I already started crying LOL! The woman I spoke to stated everything else was done, so maybe you're right! I can only hope you are. I didn't even ask her how long I should wait as I was scared of he answer, but I came on here and see its 42 days. I think I am going to leave at the end of this month and wait it out over there. No fun in being married and not being together ?
