I am not sure what they are doing. This part of the process is something else. You just never know what to expect.

We are in limbo. There has been two updates to our case in almost a month. So you are doing better than use with the activity.

Hopefully once you get the document, they would have already done whatever checks they need to do and so it could be a faster visa issuance.

You are welcome and I really hope it won't be too long for you. I was hoping I wouldn't be experiencing this unending AP stuff but alas here I am.

The last update we had was on December 7. We have received conflicting information from the Embassy. One minute they say the case will be adjudicated soon and the next time they make it seem like they are engaged in some massive review and they can't predict when the processing will be done.

When I hear soon, I think soon so they threw us off.

I wish I had found this site sooner in the application process. Hubby got his interview date for January 8th in Juarez!

Quick question for those who may have dealt in Juarez. The instructions they provided didn't say anything about the BioMetrics, just his Medical, which we have scheduled for January 6th in Mexico City.

Should we be scheduling a separate appt for BioMetrics?

also, he currently has Tourist B2 Visa and was fingerprinted for that, will they fingerprint him again?

just wanna tell my brothers and sisters in egypt ............ from what i passed through

- on every phase of the process u need to call or email to make your case move it wont move fast anyways but still they wont sit on it for longer than usual which is already along time

- when ur ceac status changes to ISSUED u need to follow up cuz aramex might not call or txt u if u dont follow up ur passport will be returned to the embassy after 15 days ....... by follow up i mean call aramex u can email them but that wont get u any where

um sayin that out of personal experience

its been a loooooooooooooooooooong time coming thats what it is for some countries

Spot on! From the time your case says "issued" give them 10 days, but then CALL, they sometimes don't call to let you know your passport is ready to pick up. Also don't depend on the traveldocs website to tell you what's going on. Many people have said the traveldocs site never did change from "no record of your passport". Our visa has been in hand for over a week but the traveldocs website still tells us it's not even been sent out for pick up yet.

Good idea, but I'm sure If I show them our chat logs they'll just issue a special visa for me and my wife to commit to a mental institution It has been discussed on here? thanks, I'll search for it then.

I have a friend who submitted their sexting love chats and the CO got an attitude and asked "why would you submit this kind of thing to us". And he explained "You guys say you want to see what real couples do and we need to show bonafide relationships". "Well real couples who are apart do this. You should question those who don't act like this".

The CO turned red my friend said and said "you made your point you're approved now go do all those things to your wife in America". LOL

So I left this out but hubby printed out a bunch of pics And accidentally included 1 inappropriate one. It's not horrible but truly for our eyes only (don't judge, we were on vacation). I yelled at him and told him absolutely not,don't bring it. He swore he took it out but after the interview he was goin through them and saw the inappropriate one right in the middle of the stack. The CO looked at every single pic and his mood changed tremendously after seeing the pics and hubby was approved a minute later.

Not saying that's why we were approved but his interview was Friday and our status changes to Issued today so something worked input favor. Lmao.

Thanks Sukie, that's basically what I'm figuring...

The unfortunate thing is, reading through past reviews at the Singapore embassy, a not insignificant number of people actually had the embassy contact them to move their interviews to an earlier date. Guess that's not happening anymore...

We'll just have to hope that she can travel to the US on Dec 23 for a vacation Christmas, a trip we planned 6 months ago. (She has a tourist visa and will mention at the interview...)

My wife had her interview this morning and was approved on the spot! The CO told my wife that the passport will be ready by next Monday or Tuesday latest, and she would check to see if it could be done quicker before my wife's flight next Wedneday. It looks like everything should hopefully work out - will be a very Merry Christmas.

Got our interview date email today (15 December) and interview date is January 19!

Couldn't be any happier because my love is coming to visit me and my family on January 24 so if we are lucky we can fly back together

That also means I have to schedule my medical asap, though I think that the doc in Frankfurt has a walk in service (if that's what it is called idk)

Hey! Usually it takes 1 week, but some of the VJ members never got it... It doesn't matter anyways. The important email is the one containing your P4 letter (interview appointment).
