Sekhvaruli, if you ticked yes for the question "Do you want the Social Security Administration to issue a Social Security number and a card?" in the DS-260 form then you should be fine. Your husband should receive it by mail after his POE.

If not, then I think you need to apply for one.

We did answer YES. Hopefully, they will do that... Does anybody know, how soon? Or what kind of experience people have with SS office?

To play safe we are planning to visit SS office and to ask them what to expect. My husband already has a job offer - Georgian community is supporting each other a lot here. But he can't start until he gets his SSN. If I am in the wrong topic, please, redirect me.

So into the interview we're supposed to bring chat logs and every communication proof as evidence. So what about uhm extremely private things in our chat logs? If I collect 10 pages, 9 of them aren't "Presentable" to another human being. also wife doesn't want me to bring any message logs to the interview. is it ok if I blur the content and took them with me?

I have a friend who submitted their sexting love chats and the CO got an attitude and asked "why would you submit this kind of thing to us". And he explained "You guys say you want to see what real couples do and we need to show bonafide relationships". "Well real couples who are apart do this. You should question those who don't act like this".

The CO turned red my friend said and said "you made your point you're approved now go do all those things to your wife in America". LOL

Helloo...

I don't understand why some people here are so eager to find out if their case file has reached the consulate from NVC and go to extreme lengths to find out if its shipped out and keep a track on DHL shipments. Well i dont think anyone needs to be nervous about that its the job of the NVC and there's nothing you can really do in this. Once you are given an interview date its their headache to get hold of your file. Almost every file reaches the Embassy or consulate once you are scheduled. So folks just relax. Best of luck to everyone who have intrrviews coming up.

Cheers ?

I stumbled upon it somewhere while reading randomly, tried it, and just felt excited coz it works. That's all. I'm not really so eager. I am actually quite overwhelmed as things went faster than we expected.

That is very good to hear. I think I might have alluded to you being able to get in a January interview but an early January interview. Not too long of a wait for the interview.

Glad to see that.

I know, and that is why we were very pleasantly surprised... i guess it comes down to how pressed they are at the embassy that you will be interviewing at.

I have a friend who submitted their sexting love chats and the CO got an attitude and asked "why would you submit this kind of thing to us". Hahahaha, your friend is a very smart person. :P

Congratulations. I have updated you. Why do you say Odd timing?

Well mainly because I remember reading that they usually schedule interviews during the beginning and the end of each month, so I wasn't expecting them to schedule our interview before end of Dec, or beginning of Jan. Also the fact that it is so soon (I'm not complaining though), we were expecting something more around mid to end of Feb.

My wife and I are extremely happy right now. :joy: :joy: :joy:

Praise God! it says ''issued'' now.

hi everyone, had my Interview at 9AM in Montreal this morning and checked the CEAC status and it still says READY. How long does it take to say Approved Issued etc ?

They told me I was approved and waited for them to scan in my Birth certificate. That was it. Can you share your experience ?

The reason why many started doing at least ion this thread was to know when their casefile gets to embassy to request an earlier date.

There is a whole thread that's been going on for years of DHL tracking some people just want to know even though there's no way to know its your package.

Sounds good to me, a good bit of activity in a short span of time. After the interview did your case go to Administrative Processing?

If so then if it goes to ready, I think a visa is close to being issued.

I am not sure what they are doing. This part of the process is something else. You just never know what to expect.

We are in limbo. There has been two updates to our case in almost a month. So you are doing better than use with the activity.

Hopefully once you get the document, they would have already done whatever checks they need to do and so it could be a faster visa issuance.
