Did they say which countries would that be? Unless they have been backed up by facts, I don't think CNN would name " high - risk" countries!!

Well "high risk" are anyone coming from countries where ISIS, Al-Qaeda and extremest of any kind are high.

The bill for the VWP getting tighter is on the house floor now. Probably won;t get voted on before the holiday break. But they will really dig deeper into travelers and where you went and why. No more a stamp and a pass.

That makes me super sad!! ? Any idea when they would implement that?!! That would affect everybody!!

Scrutiny comes and goes. Nothing for anyone to be sad about. It is what it is.

Here in Nigeria we had automatic AP after deep stick underwear bomber (remember him trying to blow up plane in Detroit. Man denials were like more than 75%. It was sad time. But we got through it and Nigeria and people doing their due diligence and preparing better petition packages and visiting has helped.

Now Ghana is going through real tough times. Everyone who comes after you all just need to do their research and check themselves before they wreck themselves and know this process regardless of embassy has starts and stops, fast and slow and its not for the people who want instant. It's a process and regardless how unfair we think it is we are asking total strangers to be judge and jury and decide yes on evidence we present. So based on that everyone needs to look at their evidence and say "If I was a CO based on what is presented here would I approve?"

Im over the moon!!!! Just got off the phone with NVC and its a confirmed case complete as of 12/9/15 after seeing the 3 N/A today!!! The rep told me I should just wait for an email with interview date. What is the next procedure and when should I start my barrage of phone calls for interview date should I not get this email?!

Congratulations.I keep my ears pretty open to scheduling. Soon as they start I tell what embassy is scheduling and startt calling.

So when interview scheduling starts for February which probably will be 1st week in January (maybe they will start end of December). So no need to call anyone.

Also everyone gets an interview letter. You have to get one to get medical and get in embassy.

So hang in there a few more weeks.

Idtinuke,

Thank you so much for your feedback. So is okay to go with my massive wedding album? I know PCC is for one yr but Nig PCC expires in 3months. I hope this not a problem? Enjoy your flight!

PCC is good for a year. The 3 months applies to your submission and you submitted by that time. Lagos no longer requires you to get new PCC if it expires at NVC.

Congratulations. Thanks for sharing the good news.

You guys both did. Due diligence goes a long way. I am glad they were able to appreciate the bona fide relationship.

What I want to know is when they tell your husband to go and pick up the visa. So rest up and then come back.

Thanks dwheels. You've always been such a wonderful person. Please, you didn't say anything about my big 50 pages wedding photo book. Will I be allowed to go in with it? What if VO ask for photos how do I pass it on? I keep cracking my head on whether to leave it and make another photo album. I will also print more photos before and after wedding to add it. Sorry, for too much questions. I don't want to miss anything. Please kindly advise.

Hello everyone, I just moved out to this thread, as I've just received my CC yesterday.

Am I correct in assuming that I should be receiving an e-mail from the NVC in about a week regarding the CC? And possibly an interview scheduled some time in Feb. 2016?

You are correct in your assumption about the e-mail. However myself and some others never got an e-mail but most do.

I think a February 2016 interview is a good assumption. You may slide in for January. Actually I think the January interview may be likely.

Thank you or the info Shams, I hope things go well for your case... I guess we're back to waiting now.

Btw, how are some people seeing an "Activity Date" on their cases? Is there a new portal?

LJSant, when you go on the ceac page (ceac.state.gov) the bottom option is "Check your visa application status".

You'll have to put your case number and a window will pop up and that's how you see if there were/are any updates on your case.

And I just did that and I just noticed that my status changed from "At NVC" to "Ready". Yaaay! Well, my interview is a month away but I'm glad that at least they have my documents :)

P.S: Congrats on your CC!!!
