Hopefully it's all just a lot of paranoid hoopla-la in light of the recent shooting in San Bernardino, and none of this talk about making visa's extremely difficult will be implemented. I've not heard exactly when they hope to make these changes, but I assume in the near future.

@DonT,my album is big because it contain 100pics of our court, traditional&nikkah but I saw some people with 2,3 albums. but what they will just ask from you is to identify some people in the pictures&their relationship. No they did not ask for additional document but go with all photocopies because they lost police certificate of a lady but she was able to produce photocopy which they accepted.

Idtinuke,

Thank you so much for your feedback. So is okay to go with my massive wedding album? I know PCC is for one yr but Nig PCC expires in 3months. I hope this not a problem? Enjoy your flight!

Currently on a plane about to leave for Manila to spend the holidays with my wife and her family. Her interview is scheduled for January 12 after I leave, but we're hoping NVC will send our file early and we'll be able to reschedule it sooner. Maybe she can even come home with me instead of following after! Here's to hoping!!

I did do a lot of front loading. I even sent them a 25 page child art style book I made (which I let the kids color) that explained our whole story with pictures instead of words.

That's awesome. I know I had a good friend do a picture album of all her husband missed in their year long saga. It was quite touching showing birthdays missed. parties invited to and she went alone. It was very touching. To show the real human side of all this. That this person is coming to a life in US and people waiting to meet and greet them.

Hello Everyone,

I emailed NVC a request for an expedited interview date as our case been completed on Dec 3rd; tonight when I called NVC they advised that they had heard back from the US Embassy Islamabad that the request had been approved. When I started this process I never imagined I'd be making any such request, but a serious emergency has arisen and if we can save even a couple of weeks by this, it can make a big difference.

All the NVC could tell me was that they are sending the case immediately to embassy and there is nothing more they will do with our case, that it's up to the Embassy now. Does anyone know the process for a situation like this? Will the Embassy contact the Beneficiary directly or the petitioner and the source of contact(Call or Email)? How is the interview scheduled? We haven't had the medical done yet, should we wait for embassy response or should we go with the medical exam? Does anyone know if these expedites, once granted, really do make a difference in time... or not? I imagine if I tried to call the Embassy to find out how the process works, they'd not be able to tell me anything as they don't have the case yet. Should I call anyway?

Have no knowledge how to proceed further.

If anyone has any experience with something like this cases from US embassy Islamabd per se, please let me know smile.gif

Thanks-

Sorry about your emergency and pray all will be alright. If possible try and get your medical done now. A expedite means you get whatever date is opened up. They could contact you and tell you to report the next day so you have to get everything in order now if possible.

Email the embassy on monday with your case# in the subject line to ask about your case. This will at least get you on their radar.
