Administrative processing

Case Creation Date: 19-Aug-2015 Status Updated Date: 10-Dec-2015
Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days. Under the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act, Immigrant Visas for "Diversity Visas" cannot be issued after September 30th of the year in which you were selected to apply for a Diversity Visa. For example, entrants into the Diversity Visa Program in Fall of 2011 were selected for Diversity Visa 2012 Program, and selectees MUST apply and receive their visa prior to September 30, 2012 otherwise they lose eligibility to receive a Diversity Immigrant Visa, regardless of additional administrative processing. In addition, please note that some immigrant visas may not be able to be issued if the annual numerical limit for that category has been reached.

Hey guys! We have our interview on Monday and I am so nervous.

We do have all our documents in order but.. I am scared! The one thing I am scared about is.. we didn't sent too much proof with our I-130 petition. But we have a lot of proof that we are going to take to the interview. But I am a bit worried.

Anyways, let me tell you our checklist.

1. Original P4 + photocopy

2. DS-260 confirmation + complete form

3. Current + old passports + 2 passport photos

4. Original Birth and Marriage Certificate + photocopies

5. Original PCC + photocopy

6. Original signed I-864EZ + Tax transcripts of 2014,2013,2012 + W-2's of 2014,2013,2012

7. Paystubs for the year of 2015 + Employment letter

8. Medical Report

9. A copy of everything we sent to the USCIS

10. A copy of petitioner's passport + Naturalization Certificate + Social Security Card + Driving license

And then we have proof:

1. Skype Call logs of past year and a half

2. Whatsapp chats of first 3 months and last 3 months(there is just too much whatsapp data)

3. Facebook chat messages of past 2 years

4. Travel itineraries of 4 trips we took together

5. Boarding passes and tickets to our honeymoon

6. Hotel bills

7. Over a 150 wedding pictures including pictures from all the wedding events(4 different events) + atleast 20 pictures each from the 4 trips we took together

8. Immigration stamps on the petitioner's(my husband) passport showing the trips he took to India to visit me

9. Over a 100 emails we sent each other

Basically we have met every 6 months in the past 2 years so we have taken many trips together.

So these are all the things we have. Is the proof enough? Are we missing any documents?

Please respond.

Can anyone please respond? It will be a huge help.

Urvashi,

You evidence looks pretty good. Do you have any receipts where your husband sent money, if so that would be good. Possibly maybe a joint account you guys have.

Pictures are good especially those with you and other people, possibly family members.

I sent phone records but they didn't look at that at the interview.

I take it PCC is the police certificate?

Go in and answer the questions and you should be good to go. All the best.

ever since I started this process that thread has been going. I have no idea when they started it but doubt they will stop. not sure what triggered automatic AP for that country but boy do they wait a long time to get out of there! I believe that thread has been going on for years hence that thread is the third one and already at 151 pages so maybe that country has always had automatic AP no idea

@DonT,my album is big because it contain 100pics of our court, traditional&nikkah but I saw some people with 2,3 albums. but what they will just ask from you is to identify some people in the pictures&their relationship. No they did not ask for additional document but go with all photocopies because they lost police certificate of a lady but she was able to produce photocopy which they accepted.

Well we dont have any money transfer receipts because we haven't had any money transferred between us. I live in India with my parents so I didn't need my husband to send me any money.

We do have a joint account here in India but we never really used it. Also, I don't have many phone call records since its super expensive to make calls to the US from here so we always chose to make Skype calls instead of regular phone calls.

And yes. The Pcc is the police certificate.

The pictures of wedding include pictures of just us, with our families, his friends from the US and other guests. Same with different trips he took to India to see me. We have all those pictures with our families and also we have pictures from a trip we took with his friends in India right after the wedding.

These things should be enough I'm guessing.

And thank you so much Shams! You've been great.

Oh ok, if that comes up then I think that is a pretty good response to give. I don't think it would hurt to take some document showing the join account you two have.

Make sense about the phone calls. Sounds good about the pictures.

I do think what you have will be sufficient. Only other thing that comes to mind is if your husband gave your any cards, wrote letters etc.

You are welcome. I am glad to see that you are almost done with this process especially after what you went through at the NVC.

They did an update on our case this past Monday but we are still in AP. Not sure what they are doing behind the scenes. I do need them to issue the visa though. Since they interview there has been two updates to our case but we are still in AP.
