UPDATE: Checked CEAC and as of today it says " Administrative Processing" hope it wont take long before the visa is issued. The CO told my husband that it would be ready in two weeks from his interview date (Dec 3). Hopefully if they are working on it now it should be issued sooner (God willing)....

Does anyone know whats the average turnover time for administrative processing at Lagos, Nigeria?

It's January 18th @ 7:30 a.m. Hamdulillah :)

So, now the situation is different .. I'm a US citizen and my wife will be a green card holder inshallah .. And I applied for my daughter in the USCIS and she got a case number .. Will we be able to get her with her mother in the interview or we should wait the normal processing from the USCIS to the NVC?

So you have filed a I-130 petition with USCIS? Did you request an expedite and tell them why? Otherwise it will take the normal course and it could be months. You will need to request an expedite at USCIS than again when it gets to NVC.

I got my passport with visa and yellow envelope with documents today. It took 6 days after my interview. Going to pay green card fee.

Finally my immigration journey is finished. Well, at least for couple years :)

Flying to my hubby next week!

Thank you Visajourney friends for all your help and support!

I wish good luck to everyone who is still in the process!

Thank you,

Also I wanted to ask and maybe other Nigerians would find this question helpful too, With the new restrictions Dubai has placed for Nigerians coming into Dubai. Do you have any knowledge or information of how that effects those that want to book through Emirates with a layover in Dubai for our husbands and wives coming to join us in the US?

My husband and I have been looking for potential flight and see that Emirates is offering a nice affordable rate but I'm skeptical of my husband flying into Dubai on the connecting flight. Will they turn him back or deny him entry into the country if he is on a connecting flight to US?

Don't worry. Unless he has plans of going out of the airport and into the city, your husband does not need to go through passport control!!

Long as they aren't leaving the airport it's no issue. I know many Nigerians going to Dubai. Wat restrictions? Or that bogus story going around about stopping Nigerians under 40 coming. That will never happen.

hey guys. I am so torn.

42 days of being stuck on supervisor review will hopefully be over on Dec. 15.

But I really want to call the NVC,...maybe they have good news for us today. But on the other hand I don't want to hear the same old things again...no news for you yadda yadda yadda

What do you? Is it worth it or should I just wait another week before I call them again?

TIA

I'm a need to know person. When I was at NVC many years ago (was at NVC for 8 months) I called everyday. Sometimes 2 to 4 times. I always asked questions. I learned the process that's how I know so much about their Interview scheduling.

It's up to you if you want to know or drive yourself insane not know. You may get a soft hearted soul that can maybe do something talk to a supervisor. who knows.

Hi everyone,

Couple of questions if anyone can help. First, have my medical scheduled for 14 December but CEAC says case is still at NVC. Got interview letter on 2/12 and it says I can schedule medical. Bit confused on that point: if my medical results get shipped before, won't that screw up the processing? (My interview date is January 6). Second, I recently got 4x UK passport photos for the medical as per the medical request; however, for the interview it states that I have to have two 2x2 inch photos for the interview. Those are bigger than the UK ones!! Very confused and kind of stressed. Don't want to fly out to London twice in the space of three weeks and have everything screwed up for technical problems.

All advice will be greatly appreciated!

just got off the phone and once again I talked to this really nice rep. Aubrey. To me, she seem like one of the nicest.

So she told us our case is no longer under supervisor review. and it's all set but still no Interview Date.

Let's see what the next few weeks will bring us
