I called NVC today and received my case number. Exactly 10 business days after my NOA2. For those wondering, the response to wait 35 days or whatever is their automatic script. Translate it in your head to mean "call back tomorrow".

Great! What dates you are planning approximately? Maybe will meet there hohoh :))

Hi All,

I have been out of action for a few days arranging stuff following NOA2 approval.

We now have police clearance from the countries I lived in so looking to book the medical. How do I get hold of the case number which is required by the doctors office?

Secondly, a question on form I-134 Affidavit of Support Question number 11

Indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions

My fiancé has ticked "I intend" box - to make specific contributions to the support of the person named in item 3 i.e. ME his fiancée

So how should he answer the question of the exact contributions he intends to make. Should it be specific amounts of money he intends to give me every month or if he just says I intend to provide food and accommodation fully funded for my future wife indefinitely that's ok?

What answers did you guys give for this?

Thanks in advance.

You can call the NVC at 6033340700 after it has been at least 10 business days since you received your NOA2. They will be happy enough to give you the information. When I called they just asked me to confirm mine and the beneficiary's names and our birthdays. So have that information on hand. Like me you'll have an LND number which will then be followed by 3 numbers. The year which it was received so 2016, the number 500 + the day of the year which our case was received (as ours arrived on Feb. 18, it was the 49th day of the year so our second number was 549), and then the number in which our case arrived that day.

Secondly, a question on form I-134 Affidavit of Support Question number 11

You should take a peak at this - http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

As we're a K-1 visa, we don't have to indicate specific contributions.

Thanks in advance.

I did follow Greenbaum's advised, the answer to that question should be N/A and tick "I do not intend" as its not applicable for K1 Visa but Greenbaum says if we are not comfortable we can tick the "I intend" then note "K1 visa process for permanent residence"

I put exactly that. My friend went through K1 process in 2014 and told me to put that so I did :)

I've booked the medical. filled in DS-160. I'm being sent the affidavit of support forms tomorrow or the next day...

When can I fill out the readiness form?

Will they not schedule an appointment until my medical has been done...

Like, Can I submit it and if they assign an interview date, they'll make sure it's after the medical etc etc?

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT.

  1. petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) If you do not have 2015 then use 2014. Transcripts are nice as they are from the US government so a little more official
  2. wage statements (Form W-2)

greenbaum, do you know where i could look, I know i've asked about if me not attending the interview, if that was a problem. Someone else just asked the same thing in a Dominican Republic forum.... somebody in there commented that in different embassies, there are different requirements, but as far as DR, the petitioner must be in attendance. your thoughts/suggestions how i can find out before monday?

From what I have been able to research, there has been mention that the USEDR requests that the sponsor be in attendance. It has never become mandatory but with the history of fraud, I believe the CO would be more comfortable with the sponsor there. Now, having said that if you have given your fiancée strong evidence of your relationship to the point you have almost over did it, then I think you will be ok but I can't say for sure. If you think there is something more you can add to "the packet" that he is taking with him as evidence then I would scan it and email it to him right away so as he can print it out and the two of you can review it together. He needs to be very very confident in his answers. Look the CO in the eyes when answering. If he does not know the answer he should say he doesn't know the answer. Explain to him not to volunteer information and only answer the questions that are asked truthfully.

Because you are unable to attend, and I fully understand why, then you have to roll the dice and support him in this endeavor. Be positive and supportive. Help him with the "game plan".

If you need anything from me please reach out through a PM otherwise I may not see your post.
