I am waiting my package to arrive at embassy, but I don't have clear information about P3 documents, is there some things to be mailed back to embassy after receiving p3? Or is this a list of douments which are expected for interview.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Ethiopia.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different processes for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the Ethiopian Embassy. When you are at the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Ethiopia most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/89-africa-sub-saharan/

Get the Ethiopia K1 Embassy instructions at http://ethiopia.usembassy.gov/visas/fianc-visas-k/k-1-fiance-/-k3--spouse-visa-appointment-checklist.html as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the this website as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

http://ethiopia.usembassy.gov/visas/fianc-visas-k.html

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages

Oh!! So,only one DS 160 !! That's great!

Don't you know how long it takes to wait until fiance receiving email from embassy? Is it ok that our status is "ready"? Some personal are writing that it must be "administrative process" ? But i guess it is after approving not before interview right??

If it says "ready" then they are ready to interview BUT you must complete the steps they outlined in their steps for the interview. You have the information from someone else. Just follow along and ignore some of the "noise" around you. This is really a straightforward process. Follow the Embassy's outline and you will have your visa in no time.

yeah you are right, but you know reading a lot of forums are making feel you doing something wrong.

Are docs are all prepared.

As i understood after "ready" we are waiting for email from embassy and then can schedule interview right?

Hello! I don't know how in Kiev embassy, but in Moscow embassy you have to wait until status switches from "ready" to "administrtive processing", it is not that check up procedure, it's just particular embassy's feature. Like I understand you don't have to wait anything, just pay fee for visa, and fill out ds-160 and schedule interview.

I still don't know how embassy will ask for Packet 3 from me, it's when you have to send them scanned documents. I will pay fee and and fill out ds-160 in a cuple of days.

Every Embassy is different that is why you should get over to your Embassy's website and read their directions. I can't say for sure, that is why I recommend the website.

Did your fiance send you affidavit of support I-134 with original "wet" signature to bring on interview?

I don't know how to Kiev embassy, but for Moscow embassy people say I can bring a scanned version of I-134. It's confusing, I don't wanna my fiance send just one paper through the actual mail.

People, so I've called to Embassy in Kiev and!!!

Ready status means that's ready for the interview!

Don't know how in other countries but that's for Ukrainian applicants for sure! If you or your fiance haven't received any letter from them after "ready" status you can write and ask them about whether you have a right, when and how you can sheldue on this e-mail (kyiviv@state.gov), don't forget to mention your KEV , ID and names

If anyone can give their 2 cents about this it'd be appreciated.. My girlfriend basically applied for two visas at the same time. There was the H1B visa, which has been under administrative processing, and our K1 fiance visa. And the H1B still visa is processing at the US embassy in China. Is the fact that there is already one visa being processed reason to cause any delays or rejection for the K1's second NOA?

NOA 1 received Dec 21st.
NOA 2... where you at?
