OK!!

For example, http://ukraine.usembassy.gov/ said that:

Documentation regarding financial support from the petitioner must be presented. It can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the Consular Officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge, i.e. tax returns, bank statements, wage statements, etc. Petitioners may submit a notarized Affidavit of Support form I-134 if they wish.

I called my fiance and he said that he didn't receive tax return (1040) this year. What to do in this occasion?? He should use the 1040 from 2014 if 2015 has not been completed and submitted to the IRS.
I found a page where you can download this form, can he feel it my his own? Page? Form?
and as I can see no letter from work with amount of salary It's not needed then BUT they state "It can be in any form so long as it contains enough detail and information for the Consular Officer to conclude that the beneficiary will not become a public charge", so I suggest if possible to include a letter from his employer. This is just to be safe.

Does it make me look bad or lessen my chances of approval for the visa if I don't get to go to the interview with my fiance? I really don't think work will let me off to go... I was thinking about typing up a paper explaining that it's the week of spring break, a lot of people already took off, and my company can't let me off work ( and have them sign and stamp the paper ) ..... Any advice or suggestions

Most CO's realize that many cannot make another trip for a whole host of reasons. Your reason is valid. Don't worry about it. Just plan that he will be in your arms none to soon.

Can I refill my ds-160 application? I made a mistake in the name in the application will that cause a problem? Would it be ground for denial? Please help

You can fill out as many DS-160's till you get the one you feel best represents you. Just remember, to not bring the bad ones and only bring the one that is true with no mistakes. The copy should be the one with the bar code. Many people make mistakes on that document so no harm if you want to redo the form again.

So, I just called NVC and as of today (23 feb) they've got my case but I don't have a case number yet. They said it can take up to 42 days to compile a case together... Now, as we know they've all got their little scripts... how long is it usually till a case number is assigned? Also, what is the next step?

Call every day till you get your case number.

Everything you need is in the Embassy letter. http://photos.state.gov/libraries/manila/1178798/feb2015/K1-K2%20Applicant%20Interview%20Preparation%20Instructions%20-%20English%20_February%202015_.pdf

Also keep in mind that the CENOMAR and NBI cannot be older then six months at time of interview. So if your CENOMAR and NBI will be older, then get new ones.

Thank you Greenbaum, i have one more dilemma. My fiance mail me a second copy of letter of intent to marry which is the date supposed to be close on the interview date but he printed it incorrect and put 2/17/1015. I just want to laugh about it instead of being stress but can we just used the first letter of intent that we mailed for I-129? Its 4 mos old tho like we dated 11/29/15? Or maybe we can scan the letter just like I did during I-129, we didnt get RFE about it. Manila embassy here! Thanks! Edited by Matt&Jenny

Thank you!!!

I have an extra question, he told me that it can take 2 more weeks to get new one 1040, but he wanted to send me all other papers for interview via mail today.

Can I take a scancopy of 1040 ? Don't want him to send me that letter twice

Very pleased after NOA2 approval on app and website we received hard copy in the post yesterday. My fiancé is currently scanning it to email to me so I know what to do next. We're planning a summer wedding in August and it's starting to shape up :-)

Good luck to all still waiting. One step at a time :-)

For us UKers the next step is to find out when the NVC ships out the application to the Embassy. Once they receive it you can schedule your medical and also make sure to order your police certificate once you have a case number.

The next day call and they should have your case number by then :D

Hi vpalermo, do I need the case number to order the police clearance or can I order it now in advance? I believe I need the case number and police clearance to book the medical when the time comes.

The letter of intent for USEM doesn't hold much weight and is not a deal or no deal kind of document. You can use either one, in the end I doubt they even look at them. Beside, they are human and maybe they will get a chuckle out of the year being 1015.

Yes, a scanned copy is fine. The fastest way to get the tax information is a transcript (ITR) online or by mail to view your tax account transactions, line-by-line tax return information or wage and income reported to the IRS for a specific tax year. http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript to receive
