Oh this is for I-130 for relative not for K1!?sorry for misunderstanding. Im asking my future hubby to send me all papers for k1 and worrying about each dstail

He will need to send you the I-134, and a copy of his Tax Transcripts. That should be all he needs to send you. You can have him provide chat logs and phone records as proof of continued relationship. For more information please refer to this link.

Are you going to the interview? How long was your case at the NVC before they sent it to the embassy?

I received my case number on 2-16. My embassy page said case ready on 2-19. I am not going to the interview, I would rather save the $850 plane ticket fare and take him on an adventure here

Hi guys!!!!! December 30 Noa1 and 2-8 Noa2 here, i was wondering why i should call the nvc to get my case numer?? if i get the number how can i speed up the process because what i read about madrid embassy (Spain) is until they get your case from the nvc, they dont send you the package 3 and when you send back the package 3 with all the completed forms, they send you the packet 4, wich is a letter with the day and hour of your interview, so im confused why people say you can speed up the process calling NVC and getting your case number, anyone can help me out with this? Thank you everybody, this forum did help a lot, you guys are awesome.

Getting the case number, for some, will speed up their process. For instance. The Philippines mail system is so bad that nothing get's delivered (it's either "lost" or it gets stolen) so the Embassy has created what's commonly referred to as the "Embassy Letter" or Packet 3. If they waited for the mail to show up, it never does. So for them, it's important to get their case number and copy of the Embassy Letter and they can get their processing started.

For you it sounds like it's not going to speed things up. If you can find a copy of the P3 letter that others from your Embassy got, then you could begin to gather the required documents. If you get a copy, please share the link so others can avail themselves if they are processing through your Embassy.

I hope this helps.

What the USCIS page states is correct, However there are 2 Affidavit of Support forms.

I-134 is the Affidavit of Support that is presented during the interview.

I-864 is the Affidavit of Support that is filed with your AOS

For the I-134 you only need to meet 100% of the poverty guidelines

For the I-864 you need to meet 125% of the poverty guidelines.

Since both will be filed within such a short duration (a matter of only a few months) it's best to meet 125% of the poverty guidelines for both documents.

Thanks. Can I ask how you sent the tax transcripts and i-134 form to your fiancee? Were you able to scan and email it?

Yes, the ticket I bought to go in March cost $864 before I became aware of this Zika virus travel risk which would be nice to use when he is able to come to the U.S. I am too nervous about what I have heard with the DR interviews when both are not present. Please keep me updated on how it goes for you!
