Oh wow! That's really strange situation! Did you call them ?

Thank you for answer :goofy: will wait, hopefully to receive hard copy soon! As i understood they didn't send email, but via mail.

I wish to receive an info from embassy at the begining od March

I called them on Tuesday the next day. Explained the situation to the first representative whose basically there to give boiler plate answers and she transferred me to an immigration officer. I was told to give a call back number and did so and they got in touch with me about 10 minutes later. To put it slightly frank the woman was completely unhelpful and didn't understand what I was talking about so in the end, I left it with a simple confirmation (although weak considering she had no clue why I was even calling) that the hardcopy is what we should go by and not the website for our approval.

So in the end, since it said it was sent to NVC, it was sent to NVC and we're approved and that was the takeaway. Of course, she sounded confused and pretty much rude/hostile as if my question was totally out there in space. I was pretty much 'whatever' about it. I'm going to call NVC tomorrow to see if there's a case number yet as today was a federal holiday.

Has your hardcopy arrived yet??

Yep, they have so many clients, it's hard to pay attention to each case with patience. But if you have a code and hardcopy that means that everything is ok!

No, we haven't received it yet, I think it must be these days.

People say you get NOA2 hardcopy after 5 business days from approval.

Hmm I guess it means that you can schedule your interview!

And where does US embassy knows your e-mail? I don't remember if anywhere in the petition they asked for beneficiarie's e-mail....

Ohhh because I have sent an email to US CONSUL if they received already the approved I-129F sent by NVC. Thats why they replied me that they already received it and as per the email from Consul, I have to complete all the required documents that they listed in the email and once I completed it, I have to email them.

Whelp, I got my RFE in the mail today.

Apparently, even after triple checking my petition, I forgot to check ONE box (have you ever been convicted of a felony blah blah).

Answer: no. Sign. Put in envelope. Back to California.

I'm still kicking myself. Such a dumb but I suppose easy thing to miss.

Hello everybody! We have just celebrated our "60 days waiting for NOA2 annyversary". And today my fiance called the USCIS. He was told what average processing time this kind of visa (K1) is 5 months. They provided this link to their website, where you can create a request electronically https://egov.uscis.gov/e-Request/Intro.do

you can also request a copy of a receipt to be re-sent to your mailing address, if you did not get the hard copy of it via mail.

Same here. Over 30 NOA2's in less then 40 days. Then USCIS says Cali service center is 5 months.

Don't worry about the 5 months. That is their way of saying "According to our goals, we have 5 months to process your application. The fact that we do them in 40 days does not mean we want to answer your phone calls asking for constant status updates. If you do not hear from us after 5 months, then feel free to call. Until then, buzz off."

Can anybody who might know about the RFE process possibly answer a question?

Is an RFE issued pretty much after everything has been investigated and they have a question or is it one of those things where they've done the vetting but they have one more thing to ask?

I'm being pretty positive that once they get mine back, it's simply going to be approved but my fiancé is being pessimistic and thinks they JUST started looking at it.

I got the RFE right at the time it would have been approved. I'd love to put her mind at ease.
