Determine which Embassy you will process through, Vancouver or Montreal and then go to their website and read the instructions. Also, go to the Canadian sub-forum and ask your questions there. You'll have a better chance of getting the correct information from someone who has already completed the steps for Canada then someone who is just starting out like yourself in this thread.

Once you have your case approved, you can complete the DS-160. You don't have to wait for your case to be ready. Just bring the print out of the confirmation page with the bar code to your interview.

You should get a new one since it has been more than 5 months. They usually like documents like that to be current as close to the interview. Their thinking is that between September and the time of the interview he still could have gotten into trouble. You know that hasn't happened but the Embassy doesn't know.

Hello.. I have called NVC again today and the lady gave me my INVOICE ID number and Beneficiary ID number. What am I supposed to do with my Invoice ID & Beneficiary #? I'm just curious.. I didn't ask her more information I wanted to know as it was an overseas call. Thanks!

July 22, 2016 - I-485 Fingerprint Fee was received
July 26, 2016 - Electronic text & email received at 12:20midnight
July 26, 2016 - Check has been cashed out at 4:00am
July 29, 2016 - AOS, EAD & AP NOA1s hardcopy received
August 05, 2016 - Biometric Appointment Letter received (it was sent on 2nd Aug)
August 15, 2016 - Biometric Successfully Done within 20 minutes at Southpoint Jacksonville
September 21, 2016 - EAD and AP APPROVED via USCIS case status (Sept. 21 in the morning, EAD status was "NEW CARD BEING PRODUCED" and same day in the evening EAD and AP = APPROVED :dancing: )
September 26, 2016 - EAD and AP Approval Notice Hardcopies Received by Mailbox
October 5, 2016 - EAD case changed to CARD WAS MAILED

Base on vj stats I'm over due. Ran out of patient long ago so I uninstall the app that way I cant check it every 30 mins. Good luck to all of us still waiting

My fiancé did that two weeks ago. I'm soon to follow. Seems the site isn't being updated promptly anyway. Checking the app is fairly meaningless.

No, I believe once they get what they're after, they approve or deny. It doesn't put you right back in the queue.

Based on VJ Stats you aren't overdue. You have a 12/21 NOA1 Date, the Average NOA2 Processing is 43 business days. There have only been 33 Business days since you received your NOA1. Just keep the patience flowing, you will get a response soon enough.

Looking at some previous case history, it seems to be about another 2 weeks after the RFE response is received.
